My Little Phoenix Lyrics
Gracefully she's circling higher
She has the wind beneath her wings
And looks down on us, she said
Robbed of my innocence
Had no more time to play
I sure got my feathers burned
But I'm stronger than the flames
Here she comes, here she comes
I've been waiting for so long
Here she comes, rose again from the flames
My little phoenix
Eternity is set in her eyes
Throwing sparks back at the world
That'll never die and I think
She was robbed of her innocence
Had no more time to play
She's only a little girl
But she's stronger than the flames
Here she comes, here she comes
I've been waiting for so long
Here she comes, rose again from the flames
My little phoenix
Here she comes, I've been waiting
For my little phoenix
You've got to get close to the flame
To see what it's made of
You've got to get close to the flame
To see what you are made of
Here she comes, here she comes
I've been waiting for so long
Here she comes, rose again from the flames
My little phoenix
She has the wind beneath her wings
And looks down on us, she said
Had no more time to play
I sure got my feathers burned
But I'm stronger than the flames
I've been waiting for so long
Here she comes, rose again from the flames
My little phoenix
Throwing sparks back at the world
That'll never die and I think
Had no more time to play
She's only a little girl
But she's stronger than the flames
I've been waiting for so long
Here she comes, rose again from the flames
My little phoenix
For my little phoenix
To see what it's made of
You've got to get close to the flame
To see what you are made of
I've been waiting for so long
Here she comes, rose again from the flames
My little phoenix

Tarja don't care about Nighwish, so why would she write a song about them? I think it's about herself and how strong she is no matter what happends. it has nothing to do whith her and nightwish...
Excellent song. It seems to be a reflection on Tarja's expulsion from Nightwish. She is saying that like the Phoenix (a mythical bird that is reborn from its ashes when it burns and dies) she is strong and can come back as a success on her own in the aftermath of being kicked out of Nightwish. It is a song of courage and her committment to continue as a successful singer.
OMG! HOW CAN NO-ONE HAVE COMMENTED ON THIS SONG! it owns! i have no idea what it means but wouldn't mind knowing. this song is aweasome.
pretty much pcante wrote... just saying that she is stronger now, and just saying that she did die from nightwish, but is now born again as a single artist.
i don't know, i'm not convinced it's about her departure from nightwish. i think it's more of a story of a innocence lost out of loneliness and despair. the life of the little girl seemed to die out with the loss of innocence but she came back stronger and ready for another change to live, love, and enjoy life.
a song of hope lost and hope regained.
I think this might be about surviving abuse. It's a wonderful, soaring anthem about persistence through pain, and really a great one to listen to when you're feeling down.
I think this song is about being resilient. I don't know if it is about Tarja leaving Nightwish though, although the girl in the song could be a metaphor for this.
