My favorite part of this song is: I know we have given All that we can give When there's nothing to lean on Well, I remember this All we make of this lifetime Is always here within And remembering that's why We should never give in To me, this part of the song means that when I have put everything I can into the fight (metaphorically), and I can't even stand on my own two feet without all my effort, it feels like I have nothing left to give. Then, I think about everything in my life that has ever had meaning, about everyone that has ever meant anything to me; it all flashes before my eyes. And I realize, It doesn't matter how tired I am, or how worn out it has made me, I can't stop now, everything I did up to this point would have been pointless! And all that together gives me the strength I need to breakthrough whatever obstacle lays before me! |
