yeah its definately a human relational song not about god but i do disagree with you that they arent christian...you see most of the music that i listen are not christian bands, but christians in a band... which is what bands like MxPx and Relient K are. When was the last time you heard them sing a song about God? |

yeah the thing about id better rest my eyes has nothing to do with being online its part of the pun...im growing weary of the point youve been trying to make. hes saying that hes getting tired of her making him guess what shes thinking and not just using simpletons terms. i really love this song...its about being honest, which it seems no one is anymore. people are so concerned with being tactful and not hurting peoples feelings, but wouldnt it be nice if everyone said exactly what they meant... |

Matt Thiessen is the best lyrcist alive. Granted the first couple albums were cheesy...ignore the music and stuff jeez hes got some great stuff! the last two lines are definately my favorite. yeah no offense to any of you i hate when people tell me my interpretations are wrong...people interpret things differently...but i just always thought this song was about how he makes mistakes with people, not God, and he never thinks before he talks. The part about

Can repair all that I've destroyed" is obviously about God. The Bible teaches us to comfort and to apologize, to make things right. So in that way "his words" repair the damage mat has done with his own words. its like hoopes i did it again, or this week the trend...if you havent noticed mat is the most cyclical person there is...i'm sure some of you can relate to the struggle with inconsistency in your walks...i can sooooo relate! |

im basically in love with matt thiessen, hes a lyrical genius and i really admire him. This song is kind of a mockery, hes not really an apathetic person, but he gets real frustrated with the imperfection of people, including himself. I guess onsce you know Christ, everyone just looks so blatently imperfect. |
