Everyone pretty much has the same idea. I believe it too. I believe Dave is thinking about death, but not really fearing it. Just fearing that he hasnt made as much of a positive impact while living as he couldve, or would liked too. Just my idea. |

To be honest, I feel this song would be directed towards affairs/cheating. this song didnt seem clear untill it was played on an episode of MTVs Newport Harbor. When, cheating was done. "i can see the pictures on the floor sketches of what was there before" -Obviously refering to the memories of a relationship they once had. "i can hear the bottle on the ground we turned the corner safe and sound no thought of him as it was done a clean execution a clean execution" -no thought of him as it was done, saying that the partner who cheated didnt consider any feelings of their partner, in loss of better words. Still have yet to firgure out the whole ... three came from one little seed the last one is all i need ..line. The sums dont add up at all. I would, say that was refering to him, or the partner, in disbelief that the partner would do this too him. |
