I read somewhere it was a love song. Man, I'm so excited for the new album, only 5 more days. I hope this album doesn't make them too mainstream, after all they get enough crap from people who refuse to listen to them or acknowledge how good they are simply because Charlie was in Busted. |

I'm not so sure. I think that someone's dumped someone, probably she's dumped him, and now he's reminiscing about how things were. So he now misses her and wants her back. And, unfortunately 'pop punk' bands sometimes do have songs that edge more towards pop and therefore are more catchy, making it more likely to send them mainstream. However, fortunately as they're Canadian, this song's not likely to piss ME off by sending every 12 year old girl into 'OMG I LOVE THE LEAD SINGER' mode over here in England :P |

I think it means Hope is going to be just like her mother ("apple doesn't fall too far from the tree") and is having a baby at a young age ("her baby's on the way"). 'Hope's too far gone' means Hope, the child, is too far pregnant, rather than the normal way where it would mean there's no hope anymore or something. I really like this song, it seems to be abit about how the world is for some people who struggle, like a teenage mother, a junkie and a woman with ambitions who just gets stuck in a life of mediocrity. |
