| Gym Class Heroes – Biters Block Lyrics | 17 years ago |

this song isn't directed at anyone person or group, it's aimed at the music industry itself and how the majority of mainstream artists play the same mundane unoriginal crap the genre demands. Gym Class Heroes are in a different league when it comes to creativity and originality, they've made there own genre of music and none of their songs sound even remotely alike. "You're not a movement, you're purely amusement The poster boy for Xerox and a role model for parasites You serve no purpose, you're purely decorative And bore us to death with your auditory sedatives" |

this song grows on me every time i hear it, i could careless i bump this song in my dorm room as loud as possible. It reminds me of the quote "with sameness there is difference". Both Mark and Tom went into separate rooms and wrote about the exact same thing, but it was as different as possible, lust and love are polar opposites, lust is a sin where love is considered the most beautiful thing ever. But it's about sex, its really well done and intricate. My favorite part of the song is the ending where they sing three different parts simultaneously, the "are we alone do you feel it?" part sung by Tom and the "so lost and disillusioned" parts sung by Mark give me goosebumps, it's kind of trippy. |

this songs equal, in my mind to apple shampoo by blink, both songs have no chorus, both talking about a girl that was lost because they didn't make a move. right now, this and circles by all time low are my favorite songs. this song is very well done, it's very personal and deep. it's almost like a love letter but in song form. this may sound really weird but i really like how say anything talks about sex in alot of their songs. if having sex is the best feeling someone can have, then why not write about it? think about it, what do you liked the most about your girlfriend or ex? the sex, so why not relate that in your song? it's not raunchy because there aren't any details, in fact i think its the most beautiful thing an artist can do, incorporate the most beautiful, awesome part of human and animal nature into a beautiful song. well done say anything. |

lyrically this song is amazing, and if all time low don't blow up to be the next blink, then i'll probably lose faith in america all together. the fact that teenagers are writing songs this eloquent and damn near perfect is mindblowing. this song is about him and a girl parting ways, and the singer wanting to be with her again. i'm starting to say this on all my posts but i relate to this song perfectly and it's been in my instant messenger profile for go knows how long. i don't percieve this song as a sad song, more as one of hope and second chances. as of right now, this song and boston peace by say anything are my favorite songs, and this music video is decent |

| Senses Fail – One Eight Seven Lyrics | 17 years ago |

this song is the reason why i'm attracted to the post hardcore emo music. i started listening to senses fail in september last year, and i haven't stopped listening to them since. the meaning of this song is pretty self explanitory, he allowed himself to fall in love with a girl, who then proceeded to leave him. so if love is the greatest feeling someone can have, then hate is the worst. the higher you are, the further you drop so he went from love to pure unadulterated spite towards himself and the girl. 187 is the californian penal code for murder, and it's apparent he wants to murder the girl that stole his heart. this song is one of the most emotional songs i've heard, and is the reason the post hardcore genre is so amazing. i love the implementation of the screaming towards the end, and the way the guitars and drums speed up at the end. The song shifts from the singer bitching about how depressed he is, to how hes turned insane, and the music follows suit. my soccer coach recommended this song to me, and i haven't thanked him enough. it's so simple yet so powerful 10 out of 10 in my book, thanks for reading |

| Silverstein – The Ides of March Lyrics | 18 years ago |

this song is about being in a relationship that you know is doomed, but you do not want it to end. this song is great because i'm going through the same shit (i already said this on "giving up"). my favorite line is "sometimes betrayal makes you happy". It's my favorite because if you've been with a girl for a while, and you think you're falling hard for her, then you can become completely attached to her. If she didn't betray you along the way, how much more pain would you have if you allowed the relationship to develop even more and she betrayed you? He's upset that his relationship with her didn't develop like he had hoped, but he's glad it's over because she could have hurt him so much more |

| Silverstein – Giving Up Lyrics | 18 years ago |

this song is contradicting, and I'm going through the same shit the singer is so I relate well to it It's contradicting because in the chorus he claims that shes giving up on him, but during the rest of the song he's saying how he's trying to get rid of her. He also apologizes to her about the way he acted. Basically this song is about the person with an angel and a demon on his shoulder, the demons saying "you're giving up on me" like the situations hopeless, and the angels trying to say "you're better off without her". The song's pessimistic so I feel like he's trying to believe in the upside of things but the bad things still keep dictating his thoughts |
