| Antony and the Johnsons – Hitler in My Heart Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| A bit too theatrical. | |

Absolute Bliss... This is really art, not many melodies are so graphic and explicit - the picture comes to your mind, just as easily as if you had seen it painted in front of you. The lyrics are true poetry, specially around the end of the song, and it's just fog, solitude and possibly naked trees. |

| Everlast – Put Your Lights On Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I always imagined a serial killer (one of those who somehow feel entitled to "do justice") getting out to kill, warning all the sinners and talking about the voices in his head (the monster under his bed) I've seen plenty of those fanatic nutters. | |

| Self explanatory, really. Just so beautiful i feel like talking about it. Any opinions? | |

| beautiful melancholy. | |
| CocoRosie – Bear Hides and Buffalo Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| To me, this song is about colonialism. How natives get killed and robbed by "more powerful countries" and how i end up seeing treasures of my country as a part of a bounty exhibition in the British Museum. | |
| CocoRosie – Honey or Tar Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It just makes me think of everytime i've fantasized about someone. No guilt, no haunting, just pure pleasure and yearning. | |
| Devendra Banhart – Quedate Luna Lyrics | 18 years ago |

They've got to correct these lyrics... not entreabría (which actually IS a word, meaning opening but not widely, like when you sort of open a door to peek) He says Las estrellas brillan y la luna se sienta en su silla which means the stars shine and the moon sits on her chair SO NOT Spanish from Spain!!! the accent couldn't be more latinamerican! And Devendra is an American raised in Venezuela, you're right littletrickywild. And well, talking about the meaning... I always assumed it was a boy in love, contamplating the night sky, feeling so bewildered he can actually feel God all around him. It's a lovely song. |

To me, this song is about living for yourself, and casting out all hipocrisy: I'll enjoy life, I'll do whatever I genuinely want to do, while the others worry about what's right and wrong. When she says "we're gonna keep our eyes wide open" she's talking about how everyone else is looking up, accomodating their lifes to intangible beliefs, while real life is going on down here. My boyfriend and I love this song, it is about freedom and cutting the strings, just living without caring about external prejudice. |
