no need to tell this song is beautiful i see... i think this album is really one of the best they made. also the flow of the songs because they build eachother up perfectly. But i haven't got the guts to try and analyze converge because the analyzation in my opnion on converge should be something highly induvidual because of the different emotional appealings |

I've had a thoughtover for quite a while now... meaninf i've brainstormed!. This song reminds me of when my father died... emptiness, meaningless excistence, how you feel misplaced!. It struck as lightning... the way you just feel so out of place in general that the half of it would be enough... it has got nothing to do with the rest of the cd with the way i interpret it. But it reminds me of getting into the hospital, waiting for around 40 minutes to actually get notified that he died, and then the great voids where it seems as if you are 40 miles away while reality stands next to you... the greatest challenge in life ever, loosing something you loved the most. |

As some others have also said above, i don't really think it's about loving anybody or leaping for faith. I think it takes base in that hitler was cruel as hell but still also brought something good with him. Cause at least we sure as hell learned something from that man, if it was either the idea of trying to change for "better" or to learn that our evil is well enough "rightous" enough to be here... cause there also is no ethical question in it, just a your thing is as good as mine, both have flowers and corpses. Just my general idea |

ps. annunaki means something like "those who feel from the skies", and were therefore what we in modern days call angels. I know that the nephilims in christianity are mentioned as just fallen angels, but christianity also changed a lot from the old myths, as an example they changed the myth about Noahs great ship that also is mentioned on some of the stonetablets according to the people who study it |

well, i don't know if anybody else in here have read muc about what the nephilim is, but the nephilim also exists in mesopothamien mythology, first named in the summarian texts, but there they are named the annunaki. If you know about this you might suddenly also come across a whole new interpretation of the song that haven't the slightest to do with moby dick, and therefore i also find my interpretation a bit stupid. But the annunaki supposedly created the humans as a slaving race to mine gold and other such worthy metals, and not for any other purpose, but according to the myths the annunaki fell in love with the earthwomen and had sex with them, and the crossbred race from that combination was giants. Now i don't know what to make out from the last parts of the first verse, but it could be that we discarded the annunakies as our gods and creators and created our own. with the second verse it could be a reference to the christian, budhist, muslim or whatever beliefs we have created being torn apart from the insideouts now wih the revelations and interpretations of the summerian texts. And the eagle could be a reference to the illuminati who is said to be infiltrated by another alienrace of lizards who are in a fight with the annunaki watching us and using us and therefore keeping watch on us. the sung bridge could be the return of the annunakies mothership aka. planet nibiru returning once again to claim us as their slaves for good and fending off the lizards, the apologizing would be for having created false gods and letting us control by others, sail into weather would be the changes afterwards. Well i think it is plausible to also interpret in that way, but of course you would to know those old myths to be able to. Also no one really know if they have inerpretted the summerian stonetablets right but you can read about all thats mentioned in this song on sites about the suject on the internet. but that is just how i see it:P |

hello... hope some people keep going by this one:P
well for me this song is pretty simply about something that is inside ourselves, not really meant to be about this particular thing or that particular thing. It has a general concensus of every loss we may run at in our lives and the ever going stride to try and conquer back what was taken from us. if you ask me it's not only about irish blokes going to battle for what they lost, or about homosexuality where you might need to untie some bonds to some parts of the family to have the relationship, or about some poor guy loosing his one true love. It still is just a concensus of every loss to me (hope i spell concensus right, i hate that word). But if you take a look at the part with "too much caffeine in your bloodstream, and a lack of real spice in your life..." it could be interprettet towards an addicted persons life where his wonderdrug has taken over, what then has happened is that he lives through the drug instead of the "spice" (social relationships, normal social behavior, basic peculiarities of what we find essential for a living) and is stuck in the drug routine with no possibilities of escape, but that is just if you look at it through a great stack of weed and pills ehhe. but a really great song, and i can't stop listening and to and playing it. |
