| are you sure it's not "to his faith he said goodbye" and "watched his father die"? | |

he's not saying "they find an image" he's saying "they burned an image" buddy. and he screams "image" those last two times. ScyKill got the lyrics right. no idea where the original guy got his lyrics. |

like cutie43 said, could someone tell me what "Under a windowsill They all were found A touch of concrete within the doorway Without a sound" means? thats the only part of the song that makes no sense to me at all. |

it sounds like a cross between the Crucible and soviet Russia. why not just the crucible? well look: You can still walk away if you just hold your tongue in puritan salem, at the time, they hanged the people who WOULD NOT confess. so if you were accused and you held your tongue, you would die, but in this song its saying that if you hold your tongue, you'll live. also they were not burned they were hanged, but who cares its just a meaningless technical error right? in communist countries if you speak out about the government you probably can look forward to dying..... i mean look at russia in the past, with its secret police and everything. im just saying that it does sound like Tthe Crucible type-thing, but not fully. |

I know this probably sounds stupid, but I noticed: he says And I'm staring down the barrel.... not staring INTO the barrel. Staring DOWN the barrel is usually what you do when you're aiming the gun, away from yourself I might add. Plus, he switches to the 1st person for the chorus, while in the versus he's singing about some sad man or something. idk but it sounds like he's pointing a gun at someone else just because of how the lyrics are. I'm probably wrong though. And I believe this song actually IS about hope. "In a box high up on the shelf, left for you, no one else There's a piece of a puzzle known as life Wrapped in guilt, sealed up tight" That's why. |

theblb, i seriously doubt Dustin struggles with looking at naughty pictures on the internet XD i just don't like the very last line of the song. it seems like it should have been complete right before he adds that very last "here my voice goes, to ones and zeros" |

| Thrice – The Flame Deluge Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"I'm not sure, however what 'the smallest thread' refers to" it just means the next flame deluge is imminent. I mean, if it was the biggest thread holding it back, it would be far, far away from happening. BTW I think this song is just literal. from the point of view of fire, just like the last song in Water, which is from the point of view of the water. |

also, kriss311, the "the winds a cheating wife" is seriously just figurative speech. you're taking it too literally. it's probably just about temptations in general. |

| Thrice – Red Sky Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is the best song ever. And at the very end "And soon the sea shall give up her dead" that's from Revelation where it says about the end times and the Judgement "The sea will give up the dead that were in it" | |
| Thrice – The Whaler Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I love this song so much, except for the end. I think it ruins it how he simply ends it with the weird "ooooooh"'s. Not very climactic or anything. Other than that i love it. and, lol Xacto, that's just from Night Diving ending and going into The Whaler. There's that same kind of transition when the end of one song continues into the beginning of the next in a lot of the alchemy index songs. | |
