Begin Again Lyrics
Welcome friends
To seconds lost
And starts that won't begin
To twisted eyes, that see inside
Rules that've always been
A simple task
A see-through mask
That questions where and why
We shed our skin, to occupy
And keep our peace of mind
Bring only what you need to survive
They burn an image from lines on my face
They stole it from the pages that kept my place
I stand on the outside, would die to get in
I crawl inside
Just to begin again
So unfair
This broken smile, that keeps us all aware
I'd wish for thoughts and scene's we've lost
And times we'll never share
I'll ask you now, to show me how
To fill the circle in
What tells us all, there is no fall
And the story never ends
Bring only what you need to survive
They burn an image from lines on my face
They stole it from the pages that kept my place
I stand on the outside, would die to get in
I crawl inside
Just to begin again
They never loved
They never cared
I wished you'd understand
I'm already dead
What would you be?
Why would you die?
How will you know?
How could you lie
Take something from me
(they burn an image)
They took it from me
(they burn an image)
They took it from me
(image)
They stole it from me

The song to me is about a person who mentally sold his soul to the devil to become something better, but he is regreting what he did soon after. He is wanting to psycologically return to humanity, and out of this mental Hell, but he can't because socioty will not accept him for what he has done. He knows they would never understand what he went through, and what he's going through now, and so he forever rotts his mind in this chamber of Hell. Shinedown is alot like reading Shakespere, lots of deciphering and mental challenging.
I think they lyrics are wrong, I found these. Welcome friends To seconds lost, and to starts that won't begin To twisted eyes that see inside Rules that always bend A simple task, a see-through mask That questions where and why We shared our skin to occupy, and keep our piece of mind

This is by far my favorite Shinedown song. I think it's about being taken advantage of by someone by someone you love, and figuring it out hurts the person so bad emotionally.
he's not saying "they find an image" he's saying "they burned an image" buddy.
and he screams "image" those last two times.
ScyKill got the lyrics right. no idea where the original guy got his lyrics.
This is an awesome song... I saw Shinedown back in 2004, I think... and they were awesome. They did Simple Man and blew it away. It was awesome. I'm going to see them January 29, 2006 with Seether, Flyleaf, and Halestorm... That should be an awesome show. Anyway this is my favorite song on the Us and Them CD. I think its about people trying to make it in this world. The demons in your head. Talks about the rich arrogant people in "They never walked/They never cared" I think Shinedown is just a down-to-earth band that deserves much more than they got right now.
You build a foundation and people try to get in all the time, and tear you down because they are to _____ to face you on the outside. The Concert was awesome, you should see them sometime
theres a blend of two things that i see in this...and they are kind of similar...first off, the way things are in the world. the way people are, with jobs and stuff you have to act certain way, and they kind of "burn your image" and your just trying to fit in with these people, even tho they are molding you into someone you dont really want to be. The other thing it reminds me of is being in relationships with people, and just try to be with them, and change to be with them, and then you break up and u have to begin again.
great great song, totally rocks. ScyKill has the right lyrics.
I'm pretty sure its about someone who is willing to do anything to gain power and peace of mind. He'll trade in his humanity to get something better, and although he'll miss what he gives away, he's prepared to sacrifice anything. Nobody understands what it is he needs, and he will create a new beginning for himself. At least, that's my take on it.
this song is really hard to interpretate so ill just give you my take on it.
i think it is a person who is judged as being a loser or whatever just because of what he looks like and how people look down on him for it.
i know thats not exactly correct its just my take, but either way this song is awesome
I don't hear "demons:
