Yeah ToadsHaveWings and Johnread are right... sorry about that. i recently became a member of tBR and this is what Ryan Clark said exactly about the song: "Having played in bands for well over a decade, I’ve learned a lot of things about many of the people involved in “Christian” music. I put the word Christian in quotes, because unfortunately, many of the things that I have witnessed lead me to believe that there are a lot of people involved in Christian music that should not be adopting the term “Christian” at all. For many of us in bands, this is a common tale. For others, it may be news. And don’t get me wrong here- I’m not saying that since these people are Christians, they cannot fail. They can and will fail, and that is to be expected. Im sorry, but painted_faces_frown is totally correct. this song is not about rape or love for some guy. This song is about how the people that listen to her music. "I feel your eyes crawling over me As though I am something more than me" this is pretty much talking about the fans that look up to her. "I did not make myself this way" God made her that way. she used to be aethiest but He pulled her through her misery and depression. "I'll show you what he did, But I won't take the credit It's not mine anyway I just held the pen that day And I don't deserve this This time right now It's not something for which I can take the bow And I don't deserve this" -shes pretty much saying that she doesnt deserve the fame and praise for her music, God does. How someone came up about her talking about her being raped in this makes no sense to me at all. Shes giving all her credit from God since He's her source of inspiration. I hope this cleared alot of it up. |

This song is absolutely amazing! I was think that this song is about people (especially parents) judging Demon Hunter for their appearance and style of music. "all you wanted was perfection... so all you are is contradiction" I think that this means that the parents who judge want their kids to he "perfect" so their immediate decision is to deny DH. And the statement "you buried the chance.... charming grenade". That is self exanatory if you read it with my interpretation of the song. |

It was really, idk how to describe it, "ironic" (tho I really dont wanna use that word) because we were briefly going over and summarizing the revalation in school like amost right after this cd came out. Then I read Despers first comment and I was almot certain about it being chapter 16. | |

idk if this is what you were talking about or not Desper, but i think that this does come from the revelation. In Chapter 16. Chapter 16 takes place after the world has been given a choice. Those on the earth have the choice to receive the mark, worship the Beast and live, or refuse and die. "You take the name of love divine And drag it through your blood Now turn to face what you have made And mourn what you have done" -i think that this is stating that you rejected God and now you will have to pay the consequences in the end. "You soaked your heart in gasoline Now light it up and burn" -this is saying you will forever be in Hell now that you have become AntiChrist.
