Nice song! I don't have the full album. But when this single came out and I listened to it, I was just in awe. The only thing I wish for the video is maybe they'd have the second half in the video. It's basically about the optimistic, hopeful feelings in love! I love Coldplay! |

So, my friend gave me this CD to borrow. Seeing as the posers thought to much of the Black Parade, I thought the same for this album, at first. Man was I EVER wrong. I love OLD My Chemical Romance. And this is one of my favorites off of it. Anyways, I feel this song is about a guy {Gerard} who breaks up with a girl because it was to stressful to be in this relationship. He still loves her very much and wishes they could still be together. But she is still very disapointed in him. He tells her I love you by "falling red roses at your feet." But he has to say goodbye anyways what seems like "the hundredth time." Then "I never thought it'd be this way..." kicks in. It's saying time has gone by and they can finally be together again because "just me and you, we're here alone. When he sings "a thousand bodies piled up, I never thought would be enough, to show you what I've been thinking," he tells her how he's really been missing her. And he'll keep telling her by "making more, just to prove that I adore." And "From the times I've killed you" starts. He's sorry he had done away with her. Then, he says "we can wash down this engagement ring." Saying, let's do without the difficulties and let's just do what we want. And they "celebrat with cheap champagne." Finally, "without a sound, I wish you away. He's wising away the difficulties. This is not a great interpretation because I'm tired and some of these sentences might seem a bit scarmbled. Anyways, I can really relate to this song. It reminds me of a relationship I had had and he decided to break up because we never saw each other. We still don't. I just hope my situation ends like this song ded. |

I've heard two of her songs, and she is great! I love the lyrics, and she's an amazing cellist. You can't ask more out of an artists. Anyways, the song meaning. I actually have two interpretations, so I'll write the other later. I'm still a little confused, so some of this will be a bit mixed. Probably because I'm not sure if this is a LITERAL translation. In the first verse, I think she is having a memory of her as a kid and how she was so childish and how she had had such a great imagination. When the chorus comes in, her flashback is over and she is crying because she misses being that young and immature, and had wished she could not remember so her heart would not be broken. So she tries to think of other memories when she's not a child because she thinks she will feel better. Second verse, pretty much the same meaning as the first verse. In the second chorus, she realizes that these memories of her as a child are way to special for her to give up. She doesn't feel the same, "the warmth of her tongue cools." And in the end it says "still, you do not answer." I think this line is directed to the doll. Then she starts to know why she doesn't feel the same. She'd be letting go of who she was because she is just as curious as she was when she was a child. |

Now when I listen to it, I think of a whole other meaning. Now I think the people "kicking one another and calling out names" are people who don't really care about what is going to become of our world. And people like Charlotte are an "army" of people who actually DO realize something's wrong and now they are trying to stop it from happening and she's telling them not to give up. I might not have explained that really clearly, but it makes better sense in my mind. |

In the first verse, I think the narrator is a preacher who lived a great life, but had stopped having faith in God when he "rolled the dice," meaning maybe he had become a sinful man. And the chorus is him praying for forgiveness. In the second verse, he was still a sinful man and had seen how sinful men live. And when the he sings the chorus the second time he's praying again. And the "St Peter won't call my name" line means he knows he won't be forgiven. |
