Still, you do not answer

Translated Version

Hi Miss Alice.
With glass eyes
What kind of a dream
Are you able to have?
Are you entranced by?

Again for me
My heart tears apart
And flows out

Memories
Pierce into
The mended crevice

Hi Miss Alice.
With a fruitful mouth
To whom are you
Throwing love at?
Grieving love at?

I'm already
Spinning words
The warmth of my tongue
Completely cools

And I can't sing
The song that I adore

Still, you do not answer.

I've heard two of her songs, and she is great! I love the lyrics, and she's an amazing cellist. You can't ask more out of an artists.

Anyways, the song meaning. I actually have two interpretations, so I'll write the other later. I'm still a little confused, so some of this will be a bit mixed. Probably because I'm not sure if this is a LITERAL translation.

In the first verse, I think she is having a memory of her as a kid and how she was so childish and how she had had such a great imagination.

When the chorus comes in, her flashback is over and she is crying because she misses being that young and immature, and had wished she could not remember so her heart would not be broken. So she tries to think of other memories when she's not a child because she thinks she will feel better.

Second verse, pretty much the same meaning as the first verse.

In the second chorus, she realizes that these memories of her as a child are way to special for her to give up. She doesn't feel the same, "the warmth of her tongue cools."

And in the end it says "still, you do not answer." I think this line is directed to the doll. Then she starts to know why she doesn't feel the same. She'd be letting go of who she was because she is just as curious as she was when she was a child.

This song and Suna Oshiro makes me cry.

There is many different translations for this... Some easier to interpret than others. But I feel Kanon is expressing her hatred to this childhood doll. Maybe because she has regrets of her childhood. But the way she says hi to this doll gives chills to me as though this doll "Alice" Is the only thing she has to talk to. Bringing the music video into this (If you haven't seen it I think you should watch it.) But the music video shows her trapped. So in a way I think she feels like the doll, but also is asking this doll questions because she can relate to this doll being trapped. There is my opinion, I maybe wrong.
