"This song if i had to guess was probably inspired somewhat by them similar to "i miss you" being motivated by a song that I believe is called london cats or something along that line."

LOL its Love Cats. Even if you're not a Cure fan you should know the name of the song if you're really a Blink fan cuz its fight in the bookelet for the Blink182 album!

you must of downloaded the album... sad :(

It's a shame the world over cant feel, and want, what Tom wants in this song. Its and anthem for love among all people and it paints such a beautiful picture of what the world could be like if it was a perfect place.

I cant wait to go to their show and be one of the hundreds of people to "sing back louder"

Does no one else appreciate the stretch Tom is making with his voice? He's really trying to hit some new notes in this song and i like it. the way he sings that second "wish" and the way he almost whispers "lifeline" are amazing little touches that really make this song.

Oh and why not compare this song to "I'm Lost Without You"? Their both Tom's songs. That song was a precursor to what was to come. Theres no doubt in my mind he had a lot of say in how that song turned out. Big sound + simple lyrics is what he does best. Not that his simple sound + strong lyrics arent bad either

"this is tom's worst song ever. i couldnt even finish hearing it, i had to rush to the restroom and vomit. i honestly dont know where to start. horrible lyrics: "I love you, till the end of time", "you make me feel alive",etc. thinking of this song reminds me what inevitably killed The Cure: Robert Smith falling in love. Yes they still make albums, but have lost their ability to make well-written music. Lets just hope it's not too late for Tom. "

First of all falling in love didnt kill The Cure because Robert wrote some great stuff after falling in love. He still had some dark songs written too, even on their 2004 album he still showed he has a dark side and he's not just about happy songs. Hell some of his happier sounding songs are really dark if you listen closely enough but no.. you're probably the type to think you're unique because you go against the grain so the second something you like seems to change on you, you turn your back on it because you feel like they/it turned their back on you... but thats just my guess.

Tom has always written some really simple, down to earth lyrics where you didnt have to dig deep for a meaning, and they've been just as good as the ones where he plays with words and uses symbolism and metaphors. This song is one of the most powerful on the album because of its simplicity, both musicacly and lyricly. It stands out for not being as "epic" sounding as other songs on the album, and thats what makes this trully epic.

i dont think it would of made a very good song since its basically a reworked version of The War... just like Stars of Bthlehem (the intro) is made up of parts from Valkryie Missle and even The Adventure. Just listen closely enough, you'll hear it.

Tom referances back to some of the WDNTW stuff a few times on this album. I think its cool, makes the albums feel connected

Tom got his guitar for his birthday, the dad of a friend of his was a garbage man, found the guitar which was in good shape, and gave it to Tom.
