Backstreet Boys – Never Gone Lyrics 18 years ago
Yes, rather than be about a lover, I tend to think this song is about someone very special dying. It tears me up every time-this song is beautiful.

Ooh, probably not one of the greatest songs to dedicate to your dad...

Rent – Seasons Of Love Lyrics 18 years ago
Well, maybe I'm just stating the obvious, but this song is about Angel dying.
To all you RENT haters, you've never sang this song in a chorus. Its honestly amazing-it creates this amazing epiphany, especially with the female soloists.
The song's got a good, clean message.
And I must admit, River's Cuomo made the right usage of the word "inane".

Oh boy, do I love this song. I'm thinking it represents a deep lust that these two have for each other. One of them is headfirst into everything, while the other is cautious. They're forgetting about the differences in themselves for just this night.
Who knows if I'm right, but I do love the lyrics to this song.

Am I the only one who tears up during the section about him seeing the ghost of Elvis?

Lifehouse – Only One Lyrics 18 years ago
Wow. This song is definitely one of the most powerful that i've heard by them. The lyrics clearly have real emotion behind them. I think it's about how this boy has looked up to someone most of his life, and he can see right before his eyes that this person isn't much of role model anymore, but it's the only thing he's been used to his whole life. The line "I guess you're the only one left standing when everything else goes down" shows the uncertainty he shows. That's just my take on it, a masterpiece of a song, though.
