I find your recent posts intriguing. I have plenty of friends, endless social opportunities/activities but after "her" there is still a void. I understand shit happens and things change, people change and that's fine but it's been a while now and I'm still not quite there. Initially, I did the whole "free" thing, meeting as many new people as possible, never texting or calling them back, but that really didn't help and was almost always alcohol induced. I substitute that loneliness now with travel, I get away as much as I possibly can (bi-weekly), which is a little easier when you run your own business, I guess. I spent 3 year's in San Francisco with her (I'm an EU citizen and the paperwork required for that move is incomprehensible). Now I travel between the UK (home) and major European cities, working from hotel rooms and seeing the world. I fucking love it. I'm not happy yet, but I'm getting there. |
