Falling Up – Arc To Archtilles Lyrics 16 years ago
'This song is about a dream I had. I was standing in a forest, the trees were blowing from a strong wind. I felt a little eerie, like I wasn't alone. As I traveled through the woods, I came to a shed that had a single flickering yellow light on the outside. I went nervously into the shed to find it completely empty except for a single photograph on the ground. I picked it up to look and I saw that it was a picture taken from above me just a few minutes prior when I was standing in the windy forest. The terrifying sight though was that in the shrubs and ferns around me were hundreds of archers dressed in gold armor poised with arrows drawn back. I couldn't see them when I was out there, only when I saw the picture taken from above. And one archer in particular had a golden arrow just a few inches from my head. I knew they were out there and they knew where I was. Luckily the shed was dark and I could hide and wait breathing in nervous anxiety for the coming of the golden archers.' - Falling Up

Falling Up – Drago Of The Dragons Lyrics 16 years ago
Brace yourself for this one people:

'The basic principle of what goes up must come down is examined in this song. If a paper trail is commonly used in tax audits and credit reports as well as criminal investigation, couldn't a factor of cause and effect be used in any form of investigation? If one could keep meticulous track of the attributes of a movement, decision, or reaction based on the theory that in some form or another it was created in a gravitational universe, it could be possible to know someone's cause before the effect even dreams of occurring. One may argue that is simply a phenomena called deja vu. But I don't believe deja vu is a phenomenon; it has a scientifically based foundation that cannot be denied truth by an examiner. The idea is simple. Both out eyes see at exact precision simultaneously. This is an obvious truth. But once in a while, one of our eyes will catch light a millisecond before the other. Of course our brains are faster than supercomputers, and that light registers in the brain as an occurrence, but a split second after that registers, the other eye catches the light and registers it. So when the second one comes, the brain realizes it has already registered the same exact thing before, of course there is no time interpretation that we can comprehend because it all happened within a second. But this could continue for at least 20 to 30 seconds in a pattern, one eye capturing light and the other one capturing it in a delay. And the only logical explanation that is comprehendible is that we are experiencing something that has already happened, that's why it feels like you can almost predict what is going to be the next layout as well as feeling a little dizzy from the offset of the equilibrium.' - Falling Up

Falling Up – How They Made Cameras Lyrics 16 years ago
'This song is about wondering if the life you live could possibly be more disconnected than assumed, instead of the ripple effect theory of everything happening in a chain of events that eventually leads to a reaction based on a certain action pertaining. In this idea, the hope would not lie in our actions and the actions of others to determine out ultimate fate, but completely and solely on the grace and hope in a higher being; in this case, Jesus.' - Falling Up

'This song is a song that ties in a metaphor of a burning house and loosing everything that you have, to realizing the greatness and the vast capacity of the grace of Jesus. The realization happens when it becomes not an effort on your part but an acceptance of the work Jesus has done.' - Falling Up

Falling Up – Helicopters Lyrics 16 years ago
'This song is about being misguided in thoughts and rationalization. So many times a fear surfaces as to what kind of truth one is following. If one could step back from the current situation and see from an outside perspective, the justification for their particular actions would be questioned. Unfortunately hindsight occurs after the effect was cycled completely by the cause. The idea would be to question one's heart in a repetitive motion as to create such a fine filter that hindsight could literally be grasped before it's too late. Of course it wouldn't be called hindsight at that point. It may just be called self accountability.' - Falling Up

Falling Up – Captiva Lyrics 16 years ago
'Laced between science and faith, a grey area exists with great debate to lean towards either side. On one hand, faith could be determined in power based on it's boundaries within science. For instance, creation would exceed the limitations of science only after existing in the boundaries and mathematics of a science based idea. After following demographics, creation then could move on to it's own set of rules because the respect has been neutralized by rational quota. The idea would then take form as it's own, using science as a mere dimension; science becomes a fractional property of faith, but not a foundation if you will. On the other had, respect could be an issue if by chance faith overrides even the smallest of vessels of science. Thus putting faith in a completely alien category. Where is my opinion on this? That faith can choose to follow the rules of science at any given time, but becomes a true wonder when it reaches an area that is beyond spectrums that science can touch. In this case, faith becomes the dominate.' - Falling Up

Falling Up – A Guide To Marine Life Lyrics 16 years ago
'This song is about seeing beyond what is apparent. It's about life behind life, visions beyond the canvas. Within the realm of knowledge, danger lurks through questions being answered. When this occurs, the spectrum and capacity in our minds becomes temporarily filled, but induces our senses to thirst in asking more questions. A cycle that causes enlightenment to become an unquenchable obsession, thus never satisfying our desire for wisdom and knowledge. The hope is the idea that our minds are simply built not for knowledge but for faith. A surpassing wisdom comes within our abilities to except our in-capabilities of our bordered minds, and derive directly off of the mystery and incomprehensible glory of Christ. Within this, we find our hearts and minds reaching out in a multidimensional effort which draws us closer to an understanding of the personality of our creator.' - Falling Up

Falling Up – The Dark Side Of Indoor Track Meets Lyrics 16 years ago
"Cordelle Truet was a track star in 2001, he raced the indoor invitational 3000 meters. One particular indoor race during a cold day in february, Cordelle woke up from a pre race nap under the fluorescent lighting of the stadium, jogged a few warm up laps to exercise his knee that was fresh out of surgery, and approached the starting line with his fellow competitors. The gun went off. The first few laps were set at a normal pace for the group of racers, Cordelle running within his estimated split. But suddenly Cordelle found himself speeding up, and he began to distance himself drastically ahead of the pack. The crowd began to rise to there feet in encouragement to the runner pulling away in attempt to win. But Cordelle began to run faster and faster. The crowd slowly began to hush in silent shock as Cordelle crossed the finish line. He had ran a time that was impossible for anyone to run ever. Cordelle began to think he may have made a mistake in running that fast." - Falling Up
