during a concert, he said he wrote this song in a grocery store where he used to work.
i'm just wondering if he built this character based off of a customer that he saw. heck, its what i like to do at work. :D |

| Dido – Mary's In India Lyrics

mary thought only of herself when she went to India. seems like she didnt care for Danny when she left "her books and her letters from him". And she hasn't called for three weeks. So it was Mary's loss when Danny decided to move on.
I dont know about you guys, but when she left and decided not to call back, it was her loss. I dont see anything wrong with two friends falling in love through Mary, who abandoned them. |

gosh, this song is amazing.
its about a girl whom he loves but never had the guts to tell her. now shes gone, which made her felt like a dream. He thinks about her a lot, which would make him the dreamer. |

| Katy Perry – Ur So Gay Lyrics
|
This song:
She can either be:
complaining about a girly former boyfriend (who is not gay and doesnt even like boys, wears more makeup, etc etc),
complaining about a lesbian former girlfriend
or
reminiscing about herself, and how the way she used to be. She is calling herself gay, and she doesnt even like boys.

dead or alive, her lover is still gone. its beautiful how the song is versatile, it can apply to any situation. Yes, this song was quite eerie to me the first time I heard it; sad and depressing too. Made me almost cry in public while I was listening to this on my ipod. |

to me, this song represents a person who lost their s/o because their s/o chose his/her career over that person. |

| Manchester Orchestra – Where Have You Been Lyrics

well, in the album version, in the end, apparently he doesnt mispronounce the word "god" because he says something like "[joy?] my god, my god! where have you been?"
on a side note, i really LOVE manchester orchestra. |
