So.. I love this song. Presently.. I can totally relate, even if its not the real meaning behind it. Recently, a guy and I have acknowledged the feelings we both have for each other. However, because we both work in the same building ( tho different departments) he refuses to follow through with any of these feelings. He thinks that people will become involved, and talk about us. (its a very small building, less then 100 ppl) He also worries that IF we were to break up, it would make our working conditions uncomfortable. and everytime i hear the line "Don't even talk about the consequence,'Cause right now your the only thing that's making any sense to me. And I don't give a damn what they say or what they think. 'Cause youre the only one who's on my mind" OR, "Don't even think about what's right or wrong or wrong or right. 'Cause in the end it's only you and me. And no one else is gonna be around to answer all the questions left behind" It reminds me how I feel about him, and how I wish he could feel about the circumstances. |

I have 3 different versions, all slightly different. most obvious.. one version, says " I'm not your star" and leaves out the "isnt that what you said what you thought this song meant" one says " its to dying in anothers arms, sometimes youve got to try it" |

b_ecky... matt is NOT from Hamilton or NFLD for that matter.. Matt Mays is from Cole Harbour!! In Darmouth, NS. And in case you didnt already know that anyway, he makes several references to Dartmouth in his songs. "at the end of the day i will return to the city of lakes" --- Dartmouth is often called the City of Lakes "She grew up on St Georges Lane, she drove slow and had a really fast backhand"--- St Georges Lane is a street in Downtown Dartmouth that hosts "St Georges Tennis Club, hence the tennis refference. "Taking you down to the Darkside of town" --- Dartmouth is often reffered to by Dartmouthians and Halagonians as "The Darkside" |
