first off, fucking AMAZING song! meaningwise..what i get out of it is to enjoy life, breathe it in by overcoming obstacles and internal struggles. "And it begins anew, the hatred of mankind. As it seeks to kill that which lives inside. Now we are dying, dying the slowest death." (when i'm depressed i feel like i hate everybody, and it feels like i'm dying 'the slowest death.') "Breathe life for you are not alone. Breathe life inside your heart of stone." (you're not alone in this world, let the warmth of the world fill your heart..wow it's kind of mushy when you put it that way :p) the only line that doesn't fit in for me is: "From dust you were born, and to the ashes you return." =/ |

"he/him" refers to an ordinary citizen like TylerMadson said.. for all we know "he" could be TylerMadson... this song is not about god. for the record, you can't say that god is impossible and at the same time say that satanism is the way to go...if god is impossible satan is impossable. /argument(s) this song is about overcoming obstacles and taking control of your life. |

To me this song is about unrequited love. He fell in love with this girl and she said she likes him but apparently doesn't want to be with him for some reason. "am i nothing in your eyes?" (he wonders if she cares about him at all) "the malice i should feel for your deceitfulness somehow always escapes me" (he feels like he should hate her for what she has done to him but he can't find it in him to stop loving her) |
