I think this song is about a man, perhaps himself, that is in a hospital from a gun wound. The lyrics that I get this from are as follow. "Jesus are you real?" - Simply wondering how something like this could happen "...and I am struck I cannot move" - reffering his inability to do anything from being struck by a bullet "people are dieing in their beds" - people die from gunshots all the time "Jesus are you stronger than a loaded gun" - Is his "power" stronger than a gun "strong enough to live" - to keep him alive "and all night long i sat with you in a darkened hospital room and nurses checked in by the hour" - How hes been "with" Jesus in a hospital "all I do is doubt you, God all I do is love you, God all I do is question you what else can I do" - Saying how he loves god, but has doubts about staying alive, and its the only thing he can do. "this world was never solid ground religion cannot help me now all I do is search for you what else can I do and when I say I search for you I mean I search for peace I search for hope I search for love and one day for release God give me strength to accept the things that I just cannot know and even when I lose control I will not let you go" - saying sorry for maybe a lack or religion, and promising that he will never let go of his faith in God. "god give me strength" is basically saying let him accept the truth of him dieing or him living, either way he will need the strength the still believe in the end. |

| ... just a thought, and i hate to throw these out there, but is it just me or does the background dun dun dun, sound like the "Let It Be" piano, I know its not the same, but it sounds lots like it.... (I'm thinking of the Beatles version BTW.) AND if you put the songs together so they start singing at the same time, lots of the lines start at the same time... kinda freaked me out the first time i did it... lol he must have stole the song from Paul Mccarthy's coat after he died... -gray is good | |
