Great song from the new album. One mistake that I would correct: "I want to pick up the pieces And plant them in the ground When a tree goes there I want to chop that tree down" It should be "When a tree GROWN there", rather than goes. Good job with the lyrics though. |

I think in the little bridge part, the lyric is "But I don't want to swallow it without chewin' it. I can't even write a rhyme without doin' it My Valium, my Val-i-um. Oh!" You had originally put "I can't even write a rhyme without you in it." Pretty sure he's still talking about valium, so the above should be correct. |

Try "Modern Day Witch Hunt", "Perverted Patriotism"...shit, just listen to everything by them (or even Behind Enemy Lines) and you'll quickly dismiss the political side of this song. | |

No one has commented on this yet? This may be the best off of ATBI. I get a shiver every time they prolong 'cry' "Makes the boy baby jesus cry-hy." I felt that the song was making a stab at Christianity. Most sects of Christianity reject materia/worldly possession, and yet you always see them in new cars, watching TV, following the lives of stars on TVs, etc. And then the line that all of those things make the boy baby Jesus cry...seems like Jack is trying to make a wake-up call to the Christians. Stop being such hypocrites. That's just what I thought though. |
