This song is totally about releasing animals back into the wild when they get to be. Miniature tigers, if you will. "It's second nature to them"-it's second nature for animals to attack because they're wild. The song makes complete sense with this theory. |

I think the song is pretty much about getting carried away and wrapped up in movies, tv, magazines, books anything and wanting to be like whoever it is you're seeing in the stories. But then, he realizes that it's never going to be that way, and he has to get used to his life the way it is. He's upset about his reality and looks to fiction and movies. |

since max is a big std fan, i always thought that molly connolly was a reference to saves the day. i remember chris talking about liking a girl named molly before singing "houses & billlboards", and in another song he actually says something like "sitting by a girl named molly." and chris' last name is conley, which is spelled diefferent but sounds pretty much identical. |

This song is probably about a relationship, but I can't help but think everytime I hear him sing "can't stay the same" or things like that i the newer songs that he is actually referring to the music. When In Reverie came out, I remember people comparing it to the old stuff, and not liking it as much. It was just natural progression. I think sometimes he is saying that you can't stay the same, you have to change, it's natural. So with Sound the Alarm, it sounded like they were writing music similar to their older stuff, but the new record is slowly getting away from that. |

The song is pretty much about not waiting to be noticed. You can do what you want whether or not you are "supposed to." And he's saying to not accept what people say about you, becasue what is cool or in one day is unacceptable the next. It kind of reminds me of "The Middle," except for instead of Jim singing to someone else, he is kind of singing to himself. |

Okay, I have a theory that this song is about The Beatles.
"good old days" -that would be how everyone talks about the days when they were starting out,just getting famous, and everyone thought they were happy little guys.
"broke up something that was never complete/mid-twenties depression"- they were all in their mid-twenties when they broke up...
"make a list of demnads" reminds me of the Let It Be movie when George is getting pissed at Paul and says he will play whatever he wants, just give him the word.
"camera that watches your every move"-in the case of Let It Be, there were cameras there everyday capturing them
"when you get to the end and then it's over and you might always want more"- I thought of getting to "The End" on Abbey Road, which is the last song. |
