| I think this is a great relaxed song about a stressful place in life. It's pretty self explanatory, and I can relate completely to it. When everyone has their whole lives planned out and are so certain of what they want, you are lost completely. When people are going on with their lives and plans you are stuck. It's about being uncertain about what you want exactly and wanting to see all your options before deciding on one path. This is exactly where I am in life and its scary and stressful but it feels good to have a song to relate to, know that im not the only one feeling lost. | |

i really love this song no matter what mood im in.. i agree completely with sparx1.. i cant believe more people haven't commented on this i think this is a great modern remake and the lyrics and music work great together. I agree with the message in this song that finding 'the one' is about chance. Also that dating has really changed from the way it was in the past. It's gotten less personal with text messages instead of romantic dates, or writing love letters- 'a text that doesnt belong to me' and going out with people just to have someone to be with- 'We just want a date, Whether deaf or blind or dumb'. Then just when you think you found the one something goes wrong 'Toss these dice eventually, These snake-eyes spell a tragedy, And I release unhappily, The magic now a fantasy, Theres another one for me than you, And some other one for you than me' Theres a lot of meanings in the song and it's all so honest and true. Basically dating is hard.. and is there really 'the one' out there? When your with someone you love it feels amazing and they are your everything, when it all dissolves it hurts like hell. |

it's so beautiful... andrew is just amazing.. i wish more guys would have and share the feelings that andrew expresses through his amazing lyrics and music... the message is just plain and simple 'i need you' ilovee: 'Through this hole in my chest I can feel That so much is this world isn't real And there's some things that you cannot steal Tell me what can I do? I need you' .. the hole in the chest is from a broken heart and disappointment since theres a lot of bs in the world, and he's saying that although you can steal a lot, you can't steal someones love, you need them to love you without being forced or told to... or idk thats just my take on it right now @ 1am regardless its a great song |

MasterAndreRaven- yesss thank you.. i did not feel like writing everything out.. but you wrote most of what i was going to pick at as i was reading it, i was disappointed that you didnt mention "hammer the battle cry into the braille-studded armour" but then i was so glad to see you put that in =).. i love it as well.. thats my view on war -that it's a blind cause.. also i took that as that soldiers have weapons but they are using them through blind eyes.. they dont see who they are fighting against, who they are killing on the other side.. they have the weapons which makes them feel powerful but they use it blindly this song is truly powerful!! also mike7147 phrased the beginning well "stereotypical oxymoron".. exactly what it is.. it makes the message so much stronger ukkor i also agree with your interpretation of "if you are thinking you are winning" it's awesome, i think that is what they wanted to send across through that line |

i love this banddd! what they're saying is that we need to rise together, join together to make change if i had to connect to the current situation we're in, i'd say that so many are hurt with the soldiers in iraq dying every day, many have lost loved ones and are angry at the government for the way they handled the situation, angry at bush for getting us into this mess, and we let that anger inffect us and prevent us from what needs to be done. What needs to be done is that we have to make sure that we ellect people into office who will make a positive change. or it could be that when the towers were attacked many in america turned to anger and let it infect them which led to a useless war, which led to the death of many more americans (soldiers), and what they're saying is are we gonna choose recycling bins or bullet cases, are we gonna choose to hold onto this grudge and continue fighting or chose to better our environment and focus in improving conditions here at home |

it's not my fave song and i dont listen to it often but i have freckles that i havent always liked and "'cause a face without freckles is like a sky without stars" kinda makes me feel good i think this song is really good for a younger audience, im a bit older now so i already know that i dont need to look like anyone else but me ... but i know in high school it was all about doing whats cool and ugh all the 'populars' and the 'semi-populars' all looked the fucking same it was so anoying same designs from the same brand clothing, same uggly uggs, same pin straight hair, same jewelry, same bags, same makeup same speech ..... and this song really advocates individuality and doing and being who YOU want to be just listen to the words "Those little imperfections make you beautiful, lovable, valuable," i swear thats not bs i've known guys who have said something along that line, guys dont like girls that all look the fu*king same! and the ones that do look like clones them selves! ew! we've all been there, we've all cared what others said about us, some let it go to our heads too far, others knew that what matters is how we see ourselves |

well this song has a personal meaning to me, it might be completely different than what he wrote it about but, for me its about being lonely, as in having no love - i've been single for so long that this is the only life that i know, so as much as i hate being single it's the only "road" that i know, and i admit that im a shalow person so it is partly my fault so every line of "My shadows the only one that walks beside me My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me" cause i really have no one but my self, only 1 great friend but i cant talk to her about everything and i really do wish 'someone out there will find me' "Read between the lines What's fucked up and everythings all right Check my vital signs to know I'm still alive And I walk alone" that part for me is that even when everythings fucked up in my life and im barely sane, i pretend that everythings fine so people wont bother me about it ... and really i cant explain how it feels to be soo lonely for soo many years sometimes i jsut dont want to be here anymore like i have no hope, but then i hear a song like this (especially) and know that im not the only lonely person in the world, though i might be the only one in my particular situation |

I LOVE THIS SONGG I LOVE NATASHA BEDINGFIELD I was bored chanel surfing, stoped at the last 5 min of the hills, and heard the lyrics "Who doesn't long for someone to hold? Who knows how to love you without being told Somebody tell me why I'm on my own If there's a soulmate for everyone" and I wanted to cry cause it had to be the most perfect, honest song that I could relate to I had ever heard and I searched it on google to get the lyrics and then youtube for the video and OMG it really touched me. IF someone as pretty as Natasha, with such amazing talent and I'm assuming she's a nice person because someone who's a bitch could NOT write or sing this AMAZING song. So if someone like her has to sing this song, and can't find a perfect guy, then it makes me feel like what hope do I have!?!?! Watch the video it's great and she looks so sad! This song really really touched me deeply, cause I am 18 and I've never had a bf, I had guys that liked me that I wouldn't date cause I knew they weren't the one for me. Then they were guys that I liked SOO much and fell hard for but they never returned the love. soo constantly I ask my self "am I ever gonna find him?" I swear I see the oddest couples and just feel like im last "in line". If there's enough for everyone where is MY soulmate?? where the fuck is he!?!? |
