I don't know what a lot of this song is about or what it could mean, but giving it a glace from a poetic romantic tragic sort of point of view I'd say, it's about loving somebody and nolonger seeing the point to anything if they don't feel the same....... Some people take a selfish sort of way to cope with knowing they're the only person in love of the two, and they consider them worthless to attempt to even out the hurt. I'm completely off, most likely, but that's just what it seemed like to me... |

Yes... This is such a sad song. Emotional. It's so hard to say no to somebody who you used to call lover. It's so hard to push them away, nomatter how tough things could have gotten. But there comes a point where you know you can't take anymore of their shit. And that's what this song is about. "I need you like a heart needs a beat, but it's nothing new" That's my favorite line. This is the first song I heard from this band, and I have yet to hear a lot of their other stuff, but I know it's probly good. Cause this song is amazing. |

I've loved this song from the first time I heard it. I obsessed over it for quite awhile. I took apart all the words and wrote them everywhere. Ironically enough, that was just before falling into a situation just like the song. The words seem so simple, so shortly put. If you are struggling with a comlicated, painful sitation that this song is OBVIOUSLY about, what better way to express it than this song... And sure, it could be about more than just a literal breakup between a man and a woman. It could mean something deep and poetic and political and we shouldn't use harmful chemicals on our grass or use paper plates.... this is just a sarcastic mockery of some of the shit I've read through on this site. It's kinda funny! Then people get all angry and defensive...then it's kinda like, oh gimme a break... Well, in my opinion, I'd say that this is the Appleseed Cast's greatest song. I absolutely love when he sings "take your troubles solo", it's so hopeful, yet heart-wrenching. I love how it fades in and out as it ends. ...It's just beautiful, the whole song. |

It is so hard to listen to just once. This song gives me the chills sometimes. It's got an echoey, eerie feeling, that is almost touching. Idk, maybe it's the words.
