| The Beatles – A Day in the Life Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Yea, the Beatles probaly came up with the hoax and decided that with all the Charlie Manson stuff they wouldn't ever admit to hiding anything in their songs. I think the whole set of "clues" based on song lines is a complete stretch. | |
| The Beatles – A Day in the Life Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Its Paul. John is singing the rest of the song. | |
| The Cure – Close to Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I interpret is as being about getting up the courage to ask a girl out, calling her, getting her answering machine, and either hanging up or just leaving a message. I can connect it to personal experience in that way. Its all about that night how u feel like ur gonna shit your pants any minute, worried that she'll never call back. | |
| The Cure – Just Like Heaven Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think its about one of those dreams where everything is great and you wake up thinking its true, excited to tell everyone, then realize it was just a dream and lay in bed depressed for a few hours | |
| Blue Öyster Cult – Del Rio's Song Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
No one's commented? Really? Well this is about Imaginos's early life as an adventurer, it leaves off as he sails south to South America. The boat crashes, and he is "left to die by two good friends" (From Blue Oyster Cult) The signifance of this song is how Imaginos doesn't know where he belongs, and we learn from the next song that his whole life was guided so that he would set sail on that fatal journey, where Les Invisibles are given the opportunity to propose their offer-Die a human or live a servant. And if anyone dosn't know, this album tells a story. The order on the CD is incorrect, and the correct order is contraversal. I'd suggest googling up "Imagions Correct Order" and making a play list. Awesome ablum once you understand the story. |

| R.E.M. – The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Anybody else notice how he laughs when he sings "Call me when you try and wake her up" after "a candy bar, a falling star, or a reading of Doctor Seuss?" Its really funny. Yea, I'd agree it has to do with waiting for a phone call. Especially towards the end when hes repeating himself, its like its saying that theres no change, and all he can do is wait and feel like hes about to fall asleep. |

| Blue Öyster Cult – Astronomy Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Suzy and Carrie... Stephen King's book must have been an inspiration. Carrie White (Origin of storms, nexus of the crisis) Susan Snell (The only girl who was nice to Carrie) I doubt that the song is about the book, but I think the names must have been inspired by it |

| The Killers – Human Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I do not think that "are we human or are we dancer" is a dumb line. Think about it. Human: Has emotions, struggles, very individual Dancer: Conforms to the music they hear around them, relaxed, only having fun. This can translate in a few ways Do we really care about the world? Should I be myself? Should I continue to live with unrequited love or move on to someone who cares about me? "And sometimes I get nervous When I see an open door Close your eyes, clear your heart Cut the cord Are we human or are we dancer? My sign is vital, my hands are cold And I'm on my knees looking for the answer Are we human or are we dancer?" Obviously about making desisions |

| The Killers – Neon Tiger Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think this song is about a person who was famous in the past for doing something that wasn't them. Possibly a hooker who has become more mature and wants to live a normal life? "Neon Tiger" Obviously the main character is standing out brightly. "They promised just to pet you, but don't you let them get you" This could mean that it was someone who got carried away in doing something, a smart guy who noticed his sense of humor and lost contact with the professional world, a nice girl who ended up being a slut, or maybe something else. |

| The Killers – Spaceman Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think this is about being harassed by the media. The beginning tells of how he was sleeping quietly (A small town band) and was ripped from his bed (Famous) then they tested his blood type (Paying close attention) The STAR maker The DREAM maker "And you know I’m fine But I hear those voices at night Sometimes that justify my claim And the public don’t dwell on my transmission Cause it wasn’t televised But it was the turning point" Paranoia? Being publisized? |

| Blue Öyster Cult – After Dark Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Well, I always assumed this song was about sex, but vampires works too | |
| The Alarm – The Stand Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| If your looking for the full version of the lyrics look up The Stand, Long Version | |
| The Alarm – The Stand, Long Version Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song is about the Stephen King book "The Stand." The first verse is about Randall Flag. I am pretty sure the second verse describes when Trashcan Man meets up with The Kid. The third verse is simply about Captain Trips (The plague) and its massacring of the common people. Notice all the references to biblical Armageddon, the topic of the novel. **Note** The fact that the song is about the novel has been confirmed. |

| Elvis Costello – Watching the Detectives Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think this song is about how some girls find violence sexy. Shes watching the detectives who are beating up and killing people, and she loves them for it. They are doing stuff just to get there attention and its wrong. It seems like something Elvis Costello would write about |

| Blue Öyster Cult – Don't Fear The Reaper Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Although lovers killing htemselves is the obvious meaning, i think i've thought of an alternate meaning. Its about changing into something you like better, however society looks down on. "Seasons don't fear the reaper, nor do the sun, the wind or the rain" Things that are always changing "Romeo and juliet are together in eternity" They chose to do what they wanted, even if everyone else looked down on them. If you suddenly change into something other people don't like, your dead to them, so "Don't fear the reaper" Therefor the song is foccused around metaphors. I'm not sure if taht meaning was intentional, but its what i think of when i hear the song |

| The Clash – White Riot Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| People thin the clash was racist? This song, along with White Man in Hammersmith Palais, are anti-racist. The Clash was very anti raceism and played in many concerts raising attention to it... | |
| Foo Fighters – In Your Honor Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I also thought this was about Kurt.... Your right, alot of us newer FF fans do assume everything is about Kurt. | |
| Ramones – Havana Affair Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song was such an obvious inspiration for RHCP, makes sence they covered it. I agree that this is about the USA getting into other peoples buisiness. | |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – She's Only 18 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I have no evidence to support it, i'm doing my homework and this came to mind... Its about a young poor girl who chooses a life of prostitution to get along in the world. Look at the sexual refrences and "When you can't afford a ciggeret." She dosn't care about old music, she can't afford to listen to it. GO EASY ON ME I'M 13 LOL |
|
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Charlie Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I doubt this has much to do with the song... But it stood out to me. I am doing a book report on Stephen King's Carrie, and here is a line from it: "'We got on it, Charlie. We realygot on it.' He called her Charlie whenever he was pleased with her. It seemed to be, she thought with a cold blink of humor, a generic term for good cunt." |
|
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Death of a Martian Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This cleared this up so much, At first I thought it was about a girl who was ignored by her boyfriend then got lonely and hung herself in her closet. When her boyfriend did hear from her he went to her house... and found her. I then read the lyrics and thought "nevemind they were just high or something" Now I understand what its about. Thank you everyone. |

| Good Charlotte – Dance Floor Anthem Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| After the 45th time I listened to this song, I realized it does not focus on breaking up and moving on. Its about when someone is about to commit suiside after breaking up and they feel like there is no reason to survive. This is an amazing album along with all their others. Read it a couple times and see what you tink. | |
