im afraid thats wrong. this is the part in the story when the main character realizes that the girl he loves is in love with his jewish friend. i think when he says trilby he means the book trilby, trilby being the girl that everyone loves, but she is tone deaf, so the jewish hypnotist hypnotizes her into being a wonderful singer until the hypnotist dies of a heart attack, yada yada yada, she doesnt remember it. he is refering to how he has lost her love to the jewish kid, and in the story of wire and glass, there are the 3 unholy trinity of a jew, a muslim, and a christian, the girl is the muslim, and hymie(being a stereotypical name for a jew) is the other band mate. together they form the band named "glass" and the girl falls in love with him until he screws everything up and she falls in love with the other band mate. |

i dont know why people think pete is gay, he publicly declared he was. and if he didnt want to come out of the closet then why would he write a song about get with other men. the song is clearly about the punk rock era and becoming pop icons letting it get to there heads. |

i actually dont hear any homosexualaity in that album. the song rough boys is making fun of punks and gays and how they all act and dress the same. alot the other songs on this album are very religious. if you think otherwise than your not really listening to the complexity of the lyrics |

this is easy and a beutifle song with a bit of added rock, which is always awsome. he saying how he is tired of meeting new girls and he wants to focus in on one person for a while. |
