hayley doesnt sing on woe. oh, and petit.sam, shiksa actually means the gentile (non-jewish) girlfriend of a jew. this song is about one of max's stays in a psych ward. it almost seems like hayley's character could just be in his head during his stay in the institution, in this song. |

amazing song, such passion with every verse and chorus. i think its about a man whose a boxer during the great depression in nyc but needs more to live on as support, a better job, or more inspiration. in a way, if you think about it, besides this most likely taking place in nyc, this sounds like its almost identical to the story in the movie "cinderella man" the movie was in NJ, but still sounds very similar. |

some have said that this is gerard's response too "pretty handsome awkward" by the used, in the "feud" between gerard and bert. i think some may have a point. bert did back up vocals for "...prison" off of "revenge" and he added little giggles during the song and right near the end. notice gerard does the same in this song. childish giggles. perhaps out of smugness...? who knows. |
