I agree with biggreenmonkey. It really does seem to be about organized religion. However, for the longest time I always thought of "neon crossing" being as a sign for a bar. Any sort of sign with neon basically, like a bar or a casino. And the line "save my soul today" where the person goes to a bar to drink as a way to escape, or to a casino to gamble and have some fun. I see how stupid that is now though :P Anyways, this is a great song and one of the best off of Naveed |

joey luvs is on to something as well. I do believe everything there you said is correct joey. Umm but I more-or-less believe its about a girl not so much about "trying to find yourself" kind of thing. I believe its about a girl from the line "Spyglass scans the field. Hold my hand I feel a chill in here. Tired of looking through you. Found myself can you find you." I think those lines basically mean that he thinks he found himself and what he likes and what not but the girl he likes has not found what she likes and maybe has not learned to love herself. And the part about the spyglass scaning the fields could very well be about looking through a highschool or a big network of people for girls he could like or get, etc. I hope I made some sense.. |

Yeah I agree emsguared. As well, the line "I got another hit that held me the last time" really reminds me of like a bong hit or some sort of drug hits or a swig from some alcahol, etc. It simply sounds like hes getting fucked up or did.. On something! Haha |

Heh what a great song. I have played this live before in a coffee house at my school it was pretty cool :) Anyways, I would have to agree with many people about what this song is about; waiting for traffic lights to turn green, procrastination, pot/weed, and many things really. It doesnt really matter what its about though, it matters how you interpret it and that its a fucking AMAZING song! Haha one of best Incubus songs EVER :) |
