I think the last graph is actually, "whistle a tune of that goddess Sweet Jane" referring to the song by the Velvet Underground and Lou Reed.
It makes sense considering that the first time around she says, "Whistle a tune of a horse with no name." Which refers to the song by America. Which comes back around to "Erica America". |

| Juliana Hatfield – Dirty Dog Lyrics

This is a weird one. The obvious meaning is that she'll let a man abuse her in anyway they want, but she won't put up with a dog on the sheets. This is odd since Juliana is known to have a dog living in the house.
So it's probably from a different point of view. She often sings about another person but puts it in first person. I think this is supposed to be an ironic look at a woman she knew that would put up with anything, except a dirty dog. |

| Elvis Costello – I Can't Stand Up for Falling Down Lyrics

The first part is just a man feeling sorry for himself. We don't find out until the 5 graph that it's over a woman. I think this song is mostly about the juxtaposing happy, upbeat music with sad lyrics. |
