LOL @ Happyeskimo. To all the people who were like, 'I LISTENED TO THEM BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE AND NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN EVERYONE LIKES THEM', get over it. I listened to them before too, and honestly, I thought they sucked...until I bought their new album. Something changed in them, I don't know...but anyway, this song is awesome in my opinion. NO, it is not about drugs - quit thinking too hard. If you've ever had good sex, then you can pretty much understand what he means when he says her 'sex is on fire'. There's no words to describe how awesome it is (srsly), so it seems like he mashes all kinds of good words together and the end result is one of the most perfect descriptions of really good sex - the kind that's on fire. Excuse me, I'm drunk atm. |

It's a pretty easy meaning, if you don't think too hard. It's easy to get when he says the following: 'I see a line of cars and they're all painted black With flowers and my love both never to come back' Line of black cars = MIGHT be a funeral Flowers and love both not coming back = It is a funeral; when a person is in viewing, they usually have flowers in their hand. Also, at the actual funeral, loved ones throw flowers on top of the casket before it's lowered in the ground. As the girl is dead, the flowers will soon be, too. 'I see people turn their heads and quickly look away Like a newborn baby it just happens every day ' People just realize deaths happen everyday but still feel sorry for him. Yeahhh... I just think it's about a girl who has no driving force in her life. She's just going through her days with 'everlasting happiness' on her mind, and doesn't realize that all her sleeping around and flashy lifestyling (if that's even a word, but whatever) will eventually run out and get her into trouble. I dunno, I just picture a girl in a club whenever I hear this song. |

Yeah, well. I think it means nothing. It doesn't really give enough evidence to say he's talking about being himself or whatever. In MY person opinion, and you guys can argue all you want, but I think he's just talking about a girl who obviously hurt his feelings or something. He's saying that he's finished bending over backwards for her or whatnot. But the video really confuses me, because that leads to ANOTHER explanation...but yeah, I don't feel like typing it all. |
