The sexuality element is certainly there, but it may be a metaphor for happiness in general. Towards the end of this song, the old lady is condescending because 'throwing a quarter' down upon our hero and telling her to 'put it in a washing machine' is the same as calling her a 'dirty whore.' |

"Voices' can be heard by bi-polar's as well... BTW, Medication for Bi-Polar disorder is much smaller doses of the same medication used for Schizophrenics. Sometimes a 'Cocktail" of medications is used to control the upswings and the depression, both. I know, I am bi-polar and my full paternal and maternal brother is schizophrenic. There is a major difference and some similarities. |

This isn't about schizophrenia at all. This is about Bipolar Disorder and the originator's inability to express his love in an appropriate fashion for his significant other because of his emotional condition. |
