| Black Lips – Drugs Lyrics | 9 years ago |

I think it's about a guy who wants a girl to be with him despite him being a bit of a trashy druggie. "cos times like this I hope will follow me (I hope they follow me)" That Last line also seems to make him more self-centered in the end. Which could mean he doesn't understand why the girl wouldn't wanna hang out with a trashy guy like him. but idk Such a fun song. |

@[ChillyKitten:15131] I agree with the entire thing, except the first part. "Out in the cornfields, beneath the hangman's tree, is a rock, some initials and beneath it is me. I need all of your forgiveness and most of your love, you see, the hangman you saw hanging, well that wasn't who I was. I think its the view from the not vengeful side of him, looking at his crime. When he says "the hangman you saw hanging, well that wasn't who I was", he is referring to the vengeful beast that got hung. But nobody noticed his nice side because they only saw the vengeful side that got hung, and therefore no one cared. I think the song is a flashback of the crime. |

| Lemon Jelly – '64 AKA Go Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
"Fly" is actually echoed instead of "Why". Go is about (I believe) just being, and not necessarily need to be looking for a purpose. "And so at last I understood. Go." He realizes he doesn't have to be looking for a purpose. He looked everywhere,"East.West.East.West." But then he has the realization right after, "...A moment later" I hope this makes sense. |

| Gorillaz – To Binge Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Rolling is mentioned through the album because it's a MARINE themed album. It must relate to the theme, and Damon Albarn is a god with metaphors, but I don't think he is talking about E. It's something a little deeper. | |
| Gorillaz – To Binge Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
I think there's stories to the albums, and both the singers are two characters. Damon is human nature, and is speaking about regretting his choice, now human nature is doomed due to Electricity/Yukimi having left him, after he helped her grow so much. Plastic beach was the last sign of hope for human nature, and they fell for it. That's why Damon is "left to take the bitter pill". In the end of the album, he sings sarcastically, waiting for the end in Pirate Jet. The album is telling a very large love story through the album. |

| Gorillaz – The Swagga Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
I have no idea what it can be about, because it seems to go all over the place without a theme, but the drug idea seems to possibly fit, with the whole "But I ever gonna be clean No, I can't get shot Albeit, no! I can't get shot Albeit, no! I can't get shot!" And maybe about lost love "Check I'll hold you I wish it was you" Wanting the needle to be his lost love, maybe. I only look for meaning in Gorillaz songs. If drugs happen to come up to make sense, it might be. If love comes up to make sense, it might be. If wet dreams come up to make sense, i'll think about it, it might be. But I don't know. We don't know. So that's fun. |

| You guy. You got it guy. And the God thing is the inner animal spirit we have. I believe. | |
| Lemon Jelly – Experiment No. 6 Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I think the song itself is what's being being experimented on, since it's called experiment #6, and it's song number 6 in the album. The song is suppose to be the test subject, and at the beginning, the subject starts off strong and focused, but ad the song progresses, the trumpet barely keeping up shows up to show the state of the body. | |
| Gorillaz – Empire Ants Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I forgot to mention how the song changes into electric instruments when she starts singing. | |
| Gorillaz – Glitter Freeze Lyrics | 14 years ago |

"Ship in for" - I believe they have located Plastic Beach. |
|
| Gorillaz – Glitter Freeze Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
In this World of the Plastic Beach, the humans(portrayed as pirates), and this song is just about one specific boat captain, in search of Plastic Beach, gets a morse code saying "PLASTIC BEACH", and he is traveling through an ocean in this part in their world called the Glitter Freeze, which I assume, is just human made ice caps, created from the plastic in the dead ocean(explained in Superfast). I agree with SaintEvrick, the Dr. F idea fights great with the whole theme of the album, and is the only thing i can make sense it means. The song reminds me of many sounds youd hear in a ship, so the whole song is just a ship searching through the ocean to find Plastic Beach. "Where's north from here?" - Sets up the search. |

The way I see this song, it takes place sometime in the past, in this world, 2D who is the voice for what i think is Human Nature, begins to sing to Stylo/The Electric/Noodle/Little Dragon. Take note that the song begins with normal man-played instruments. "The polyphonic prayer is here, it's all around you It's all around you out here" - I believe 2D/Human Nature, has just met Stylo/The Electric, and is explaining his world to her, and how she can be a part of it. "And if the whole world is crashing down on you Fall through space, out of mind with me" - If she feels pressured, trapped, that she should join Human Nature, and be together. "Where the emptiness we leave behind on warm air rising" - You can clearly hear Human Nature say "is rushing" between "leave behind" and "on warm air rising", which explains that the emptiness is coming back, and the warm air rising, just goes back to the album and explains how the world climate is changing. "The falling of the whole empire, it's here to hold you Rolling out and haunted till it sinks" - This line is the most important. Human Nature and Stylo both sing this part together. He explains that the whole empire(aka the human empire), is in love with her, but is falling due to her, and it will eventually sink, and they both know it. "Little memories, marching on Your little feet working the machine Will it spin? Will it soar? My little dream working the machine" - She has been around for a while, but has only few memories, and Human Nature's feet, aka the humans, are working the machine, making it grow, will it spin and not get anywhere, or will it it soar and go places? Her little dream is working the machine, human nature is helping The Electric grow, and they are just helping her grow. To her its a small dream, but to us it means something much bigger. "Soon, like a wave That pass will fall Closing in on you They're going on" - I believe she sees human nature as something that is just passing, but it will fall, and the fall is closing in. |

| Gorillaz – Superfast Jellyfish Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
This song in this universe Gorillaz created, The World of the Plastic Beach, is just an item from this word. "This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes." - This song is only a commercial in this world. From the beginning, you know that this food is fake, due to having to microwave it, unlike hand-made food. "Just enjoy the gritty crunch it tastes just like chicken Wrappers of many bite size Man, are you freakin' blind? It's a rock All mixed into pot for Mama's home made from scratch, well not quite" - Explaining how the food is fake, and unhealthy for you, but they're still trying to sell it! "Superfast, superfast, I come in last But just in time for breakfast Keep it through, keep it true Forever blue Tonight, the night goes out to Aluminum, I crush your fun, aluminum The sea is (radioactive?) The sea is (radioactive?)" - It's the jingle for the commercial. While i was listening, i heard a voice in the background say "The sea...has gone silent" I'm assuming the ocean is dead, therefore there can't possibly any jellyfish. This leads me back to calling the food fake. Everything Is fake, but they sell it to you through fancy jingles. |

| Gorillaz – Stylo Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I believe in this world of The Plastic Beach, Bobby is Nature, seeing everything happen, but also falling for Stylo, or The Electric. 2D in this case also loves Stylo, but its noticing that shes getting too big too bare and its becoming a problem. Mos Def is a sort of spokesperson for Stylo, saying how all the power and electricity is good or a completely metaphorical voice. "Love electricity shock-wave central power on the motherboard yes Push up to overload legendary heavy glow sunshine thunder-roll keep this on yes the lantern burns firm and easy and broadcast so raw and neatly thunder-roll sunshine work it out" - He basically gives you the whole song, or the of the story, in a metaphor, and tells you in the end to "work it out", telling you to figure it out. My guess it means that Human Nature purposely gave Stylo power, then it became incredible, and in a way became part of nature. "overload, overload, overload coming on to the" - 2D aka Human Nature, has noticed how powerful Stylo/The Electric/, has become to powerful, and theres too much of it to control. "Oh stylo go for blossom in your soul when you know your heart is light electric is the love" - Stylo/The Electric, the one 2D/Human Nature loves, is asking for her to follow her dreams of electricity, fakeness, and plastic. Human Nature wants her to be happy, but he knows she doesn't love him, but wants to give her what she wants. "If it's love, it's electric it'll be flowing on the streets night after night just to get through the week" - Explaining that the electric love depends highly on itself to stay alive, therefore it needs to grow to live.(This idea i came up with last, not 100% on it.) |

| Gorillaz – Rhinestone Eyes Lyrics | 14 years ago |

I believe this Gargoyle is all that's left of this world. This song is at the end of the time-line in this world of The Plastic Beach which is in the Gorillaz universe. The voice for the Gargoyle is 2D, whom i consider as Human Nature. I believe that the two are related in a way. And you can hear his voice echo, much like, it's in the distant past. "I'm a scary gargoyle on a tower that you made with plastic power" - He explains himself, what he is, and how he came to be. "I can't see you now my heart is frozen all the bowses and the growses have been abstinated in my soul" - The "you" he is talking about is the love he once had, who I will call Stylo, or The Electric. The bowses(means "to raise or haul with tackle"), which i guess was his ideas or goals for himself, and the gowses(meaning, shivers, plural), have been taken away from his soul, which means he no longer has goals and can no longer feel. "I can't see now she said taxi Now red light is all I can take" - I'm guessing his love, basically left him, and he could longer go forward, therefore he had to stop, and stay stopped. Other parts if the song explain how the environment is slowly changing and getting worse, and the seasons don't matter anymore because everything is pretty screwed up. |

| Gorillaz – White Flag Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
This album, in my opinion, is a story, that takes place in many places in time, this song in particular, is at the beginning of the time-line. I'll start off by pointing out how the song starts with all these natural instruments, nothing electric at first, that is, until the lyrics begin, which shows the introduction of humans. "Look yo, no castaway no survivor I ain't lost and this ain't shipwrecked" - He is saying how he is where he is because he wants to be, not because he got lost there or survived something, it's his choice. "And mummy ain't said Honey I shrunk the kids yet" - Im pretty sure they say mommy ,but he is saying how there is no technology at this point in time. "Look if heaven had a VIP this is it, white sand, blue sea" - He doesn't need anything superficial, all he needs is somewhere to live his life, and all that is, is the clean blue beach. "Look respect the island no stealing And don't bring religion here no three kings Integrated and we ain't leaving We come on a peace thing White flag? white flag." - Basically just live here, and don't be a dick and impose your ideas on someone else. They have met and the other acknowledges the others way of life and loves it. |

| Gorillaz – Welcome to the World of the Plastic Beach Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I see this song as an introduction to a play. "Kids, gather around Yeah, I need your focus" - He is telling us, his audience, to pay attention "Acting a fool when I teach" -He likes to play with his rap, rhyming words together, and it seems like hes just messing around, but its a much bigger point that just being an awesome rap. "Mirror mirror on the wall Boss Dawg Give it to 'em Get involved Turn it up Speed it up Slow it up Underground where the under us undercut" -Hes telling you that you should listen to this songs from all different perspectives, because the story and meaning are more complicated. Much like the introduction to Romeo and Juliet, "In fair Verona where we lay our scene", it gives you an introduction to this world. My other idea, its just where the travel started, and this world was told of Plastic Beach's existence, and the beginning of the end starts, and Snoop Dogg is just a voice recognized by millions, and therefore hes listened too, and idolized, and followed to Plastic Beach. |

| Gorillaz – Orchestral Intro Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
If you would like to see this album in a new light, try putting this idea in to your head. This album is much like a play. It starts with an orchestral intro, setting up the feel of the story, which sounds like a dock to me. But you also have to think of it not as our world, but it is much a like, but this is the Gorillaz universe, aka The World of the Plastic Beach. Now, we have characters also, very important (the idea isn't exact, but bare with it): 2D is the voice of Human Nature Little Dragon(or Noodle, which ever) is the voice of The Electric/Stylo (I named the girl character Stylo for explanation reasons. Bobby Womack I assume is the voice of Nature, but im not 100% on it. Mos Def seems to be the speaker for Stylo, making her seem glamourous, or just a part of the human mind taht loves Stylo. Bashy and Kano are two actual humans way in the past before any form of rules existed. Gruff Rhys and De La Soul are two spokespersons for a commercial ad in this world. Mark E. Smith is a ship Captain in search of plastic beach. Lou Reed is Artificial life, much like a robot. Snoop Dogg is just the voice for the album, for example "in fair verona where we lay our scene" from romeo and juliet. Now in this world, we, the people, are represented as the pirates, in search of this electric, plastic, and fake paradise. Now if youre still following along, ill explain myself by commenting on the other songs of the album. |

| Gorillaz – Plastic Beach Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I believe, the song is about the people in the "Gorillaz" world, finally finding Plastic Beach, the source of everything great, and finding out it was all a lie. "It's a Casio on a Plastic Beach" It's electric, digital, like the watches Casio use to make. "It's a Styrofoam deep-sea landfill" Basically it's just a dump, and the people were lied to, it was suppose to be their last refuge. "Its automated computer speech" The electric life (The voice from some kind of nature, or the woman singer in empire of ants, who i will call Stylo), sent them there, where the human race will end. In To Binge, You hear 2D's voice, the voice of human nature, knowing he made a mistake. |
