I agree with binghiskhan for the most part. The world looks fine from space but when you look closer you see all of the problems in the world and how man is at the root of the problems yet we continue to create more and more. And if we keep it up "ashes ashes all fall down." We need to take action but nobody will take the blame or do anything and "If the game is lost then we're all the same
No one left to place or take the blame" It won't matter one way or the other whose fault it was in the end. |

Isn't this part of 'Sugar Magnolia' ? The only version I could get is live and is a lot more rockin than Sugar Magnolia but these lyrics are the last verse of S.M. and I'm curious. Anyone have a clue? Oh well, kick ass song either way. |

I love this song, haven't worked out what every line means according to the central theme but I'd say it's just about how this guy is in no hurry to get wherever he's going and that whatever happens when he gets there won't bother him at all. "I'll be knocking on the golden door" makes me think that it's about him dying and he's not worried about it, he feels safe and he's going to enjoy life until his time comes, while everyone else is all worried. |

Okay I'll admit that a fair amount of the Dead's songs are about drugs (and I don't really think there's even an argument about this one) and almost all of their songs have drug references but not All of their songs are just about acid trips and whores. Just, I'd say, a little over... half? lol But seriously they actually wrote songs about other stuff once in a while too. But IraIronstrings is right, there's always going to be naive (and kinda stupid) people out there. |

Pretty cut and dry what it means (I was born country and that's what I'll always be . . .) Kind of reminds me of my family and the town I live in before it started, ah, expanding. I love it. |

Definately my favourite song by Alabama. I love the nostalgic feeling of the song coupled with the lyrics that remind me of running through the woods with my cousins or swimming in the creek by my grandparents' house. . . Well at least that's what I think of. It makes me feel at home since this is the sort of music my parents had playing in the house when I was little. Ah, memories. |
