The version of this song from Toronto in '69 is brilliant. They wisely kept the studio version under wraps as it's lame as hell, and the Whiskey version has alternate lyrics which make no sense ("yes we all hate you; we hate your dog spot"). |

I agree. This is one of the most un-Alice songs he ever did. It just has to be satire. Tell me that these awful lyrics could be anything more than a joke: "we share a bed, some lovin', and TV". |

The line "gimme every inch of your love" has a clear homosexual meaning, considering that it is sung by a man. Contrast this with Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" which includes the line "I'm going to give you every inch of my love" (sung by a man to a woman). It's possible that Freddie ad-libbed that line. |

| The Verve – Bittersweet Symphony Lyrics

The whole Rolling Stones copyright fiasco could have been avoided. The prominent string hook that the song is known for was ADDED by The Verve, which means that the entire Stones sample could have been removed before release without changing the song's sound very much. While it's true that Ashcroft also borrowed his verse melody from the Stones' song (The Last Time), plenty ofartists lift parts of melodies without repercussions. I think they'd have gotten away with it. And of course you can't copyright a chord progression, so no problem with that either. |

This is a Spirit cover which Alice performed for the Iron Eagle II soundtrack. Here's a bit of trivia: Led Zeppelin stole, or "borrowed", the core music of Stairway to Heaven from another Spirit song. |

This is Alice's tribute to his fans. The only part I don't understand is "sick things in cartridge tapes", because HE would be the one on the cartridge tape (the recording artist). |

What, no comments on this one? One of the best Alice Cooper songs ever, and funny as hell! I especially like the "Mexican bullfight" ending. |

This song is a very subtle, but hilarious, joke. Anyone hearing it for the first time will have a serious WTF moment :) And then they'll get slammed with I Love the Dead immediately following. |

The amazing thing about this album is that no one who isn't familiar with Alice would ever believe that it consists of lighthearted SHOW TUNES like Give the Kid a Break! "Alice Cooper Goes to Hell" just sounds so menacing! It's too bad Alice abandoned this format so long ago. |

I always thought he said "I'm feeling rough and kinda hungry too. Where's my boy?", implying that he ATE his son. |
