Maybe has to do with ure parents but it sounds like more of a typical anti-governent song to me... this is just a guess paired with the random fact that shadows came from a punk band to a7x and punk bands are GENERALLY anti-governement..... "they say they do what’s best for you" "Fighting for one total control" "Breaking their hold. Breaking their hold of control they strive' "To keep you down, behind your back, the time has come, the end is near" - Sayin to speak against gov./rebel "It's when you sleep, so late at night, and in the light, getting prepared." Saying theyre plaanning behind ure back "It's not to help you, but help their cause, under one system, you wont exist." - System again = gov. "They are the few, with all the power" -obviously the governement The last 1/3 of this song really gets me going especially the last sentence.. good song... short but i dont think it'd be any good to have been longer. |

| Undoubtedly my fav. off STST... Love the guitar.. dont really understand what the songs trying to get across except for the stand tall part (self-explanatory).. i also love the hole stand tall part especially the scar ure soul part it just makes me wanna rtfo! | |

What i really like is the final sentence (excluding choruses) "Dont u think its stupid when some1s treated different cuz theyre not the same as me or you" cuz i think that in this world people (even the minorities(not necessarily race)) judge others negatively just because of simple differences. | |

This song IS about a relationship.. things start good between 2 lovers.. "lies are uncovered"... "things cant turn out right" he sees things crumbling between them.. "things end" and he feels his world hit rock bottom... then he slowly starts to see the good in things as "dark turns to light".. the ending tells not to have regrets and not to dwell in the tragedies of the past, but to keep on living. I agree with above best Shadows vocals lie in this song and also ending guitar is pretty karazy. ^^LostProphets in case u havent noticed almost all a7x songs are focused around the themes of relationships/friendships, but that doesnt make them EMO songs. This song is extremely well-written and call it EMO if u want but its undoubtedly an outstanding song. |
