Actually it is about a drug addiction. The other guy had it completely right, it's about opium (heroin). I didn't think so at first but after you do some research "chasing the dragon" is a term used in prison life, drug dealers were often referred to as dragons, thus if you are searching for a high then you are chasing the dragon. Also, the dragon is was referred as the trail of smoke that is created when you heat up things like opium.

yeah i think that you guys could possibly be right too. but to me this song is talking about life and death. how everyones' souls are in their 'bodies' which are the 'ships'. we are just passing each other by in life but in the end we will all be together in the afterlife. "we will one day dock at the same port" and "our arms outstreched, we are soaring" |
