The song is about a cat (ignoring the obvious giveaway in the title). Playing with the cat, kissing the cat, resting on the Ottoman. They play their games, but the cat has died and is worth burying. Aaaand I guess the singer played WoW to distract himself from the loss of his cat, lol.

Greg Dunn had an interview for some radio station and he said the song is about a friend of his who died. The interview is on the MM facebook, feel free to scope it out. Based on the recurring lyrical themes in each song, I'd say the lyrics in Pneuma are probably primarily about this person that died.

yeah it's on the Saddle Creek sampler. its called Saddle Creek 50. its a compilation with a bunch of other saddle creek bands from back in 2002. highly recommended
