Brantley Gilbert – A Modern Day Prodigal Son Lyrics 17 years ago
Brantley ALWAYS dedicates this song to his mom. It's a song of how he left home in Jefferson and went to college and began drinking heavily and watching his grades slip further and further. As the song says, he ends up calling home thinking that they wouldn't speak to him after what all he had done. Much to his surprise, his parents allowed him to come back home.

Brantley Gilbert – Dirt Road Anthem (feat. Colt Ford) Lyrics 17 years ago
This is literally a song about driving back roads. Brantley's inspiration for this song came from driving the dirt roads of the old Potts' farm in his hometown of Jefferson, GA.

Corey Smith – Carolina Lyrics 18 years ago
I heard this song one of the first times he played it live (so he said) and I was immediately taken back when he mentioned the Hartwell bridge (I cross there all the time, and spend a lot of time in Hartwell in general)
This song is just one of songs that is written about real life experiences.. which is why I think a lot of people gravitate to Corey, because they can relate so well
