"in the last line she says she'll pull the trigger. so she'll say she does believe in God even if it means death. woah " yeah, most christians (atleast where i live) believe in the same thing.... but i am a little different, i give them this monologe before they would blast my brains out - "if you really wanna kill me, go on ahead, but i am telling you this, you think that i am happy now, and as you are envious of that, you wanna kill me. there is one thing you obviously don't know about my faith, if you kill me, i die, which is what you wanted, but then i go to heaven, where i will be happier there than ever here forever, and you can't control that. go ahead and shoot me, but it will only make me and other christians happier." usually by that time they think that killing you isn't worth it. but then again, they might just ignore it and shoot you anyways, OH WELL!!!! oh, and the song is NOT about suicide, it is about how a girl told the truth to a question that most people would have lied about, just to live. it is kinda suicide, but it is basically the only "acceptable" (if there ever was one) way of suicide... |

OWNED!!!!! lol... the first few words - "You can only move as fast as Who's in front of you" has so many christian meanings to it, it isn't even funny. now i shall disect the quote >.< "You can only move as fast as Who's in front of you" very true, you can only go as fast as who is in front of you. lets say you follow a "god" who "doesn't move very fast" as in not THE GOD, you have a limit to what you can do, in the christian faith, you are following god, who is unlimited in "speed," which is what the rest of the song is about, the lost person, mabe they are following another, possibly bad faith, they can't go far in their faith because it is the wrong faith, or something like that. so the rest of the song goes like, you need god, you are full of lies and you can't end them because you are suffocating in them, you need god to help you, because you are stuck and trapped in what you are already doing. for all we know about the song, it could apply to drugs rather than faiths. i don't know, this is just my fragment of opinion, feel free to leech and argument over it. |

uh, i think that they messed up on the lyrics here - they should be "Waste away I'm crawling blind Hollowed by what I left inside For you, just you I'm caught in place But I ignore what I can't erase I will run and hide till memories fade away And I will leave behind a love so strong Close my eyes theses voices say Haunting me, I can't escape For you, just you Time will always wait While I throw away what I can't replace I will run and hide till memories fade away And I will leave behind a love so strong [x2] I will run and hide! And I will leave behind! I will run and hide till memories fade away And I will leave behind a love so strong!" oh, and my meaning is how he is trying to change the way he lives and make it so that when he dies there is a strong memory of him and a strong love of god. just me though >. |

| Red – Breathe Into Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"I suppose while part sound Christian, there are other parts that are definitely not such as, "And this is how it looks when I am standing on the edge And this is how I break apart When I finally hit the ground" which to me seems quite obvious that he is killing himself, any Christian knows that suicide = purgatory. " 1. christians don't believe in purgatory (well, most at least, not me), cathlocs do, and i think that the pope decided it to be improbable or something recently. 2. he isn't standing on the edge of suicide, he is standing on the edge if leaving god, kinda like just giving up his faith, not his life. "this is how i break apart when i finnally hit the ground" applies to when he does quit and looks & feels miserable. of corse the rest of the song applies (or almost all of the rest) to how he "recovers" from his "fall" |

oh, forgt to mension this part somebody said " Personally I think this is about a higher spirit of godly being but not the Jesus god. The white light thing could be about Wicca, plus angels could be too. However I am open to other interpretations, I like to know how this is related to God: "And you whisper you love me And I begin to fade Into our secret place" " the way that that relates to god is prayer, when christians pray, the basically "fade into our secret place." |

"this song is great. just cause a band is classified as a christian band does not mean every song is about god. jeez. i think it's a love song. a good one, at that. " no, it is a worship song, sorry to break it to you >.< it CAN be intrepreted as a love song, but the main and original purpose that she gave was for worship. i mean kmon, in the music video, i didn't really see her flirting with another guy or anything, she sure looked like she was worshiping to me.... |
