Waste away, I'm crawling blind
Followed by what I left inside
For you, just you
I'm caught in place
But I ignore
What I can't erase
I will run and hide 'til
Memories fade away
And I will leave behind a
Love so strong
Close my eyes, these voices stay
Haunting me, I can't escape
And for you, just you
Time will always wait
While I throw away
What I can't replace
I will run and hide
And I will leave behind
I will run and hide 'til
Memories fade away
And I will leave behind a
Love so strong
I will never find
Followed by what I left inside
For you, just you
I'm caught in place
But I ignore
What I can't erase
Memories fade away
And I will leave behind a
Love so strong
Haunting me, I can't escape
And for you, just you
Time will always wait
While I throw away
What I can't replace
And I will leave behind
Memories fade away
And I will leave behind a
Love so strong
I will never find

i love this song. it sounds like me. it's amazing. oh, and this band is amazing.
To me, this song is about running from God and not dealing with your sin ("followed by what I left inside"). That cliche saying "you can run but you can't hide" is pretty much what the song deals with. Even though the person is running away, he/she still can't escape God's voice (close my eyes, these voices stay/ haunting me, i can't escape...) Running away from God is essentially throwing away His love, and that's something you won't find anywhere else.
This entire CD is amazing, especially for a new band. If you don't have it, go buy it.
"Waste away, I'm crawling blind": Helpless an defenseless without God.... "I will run and hide 'til Memories fade away And I will leave behind a Love so strong"- They will run away from God, leaving behind His love, which is so very strong... that's all I could interpret.
this song to me is about a person who has commited a serious sin and no longer feels worthy of anything. instead of repenting, he trys running away from god. a serious mistake, as he soon finds out. he realizes that nothing can replace the love that god shows us, and that he left it behind. god will forgive us for our sins, so long as we repent and are truly sorry.
uh, i think that they messed up on the lyrics here - they should be "Waste away I'm crawling blind Hollowed by what I left inside For you, just you I'm caught in place But I ignore what I can't erase
I will run and hide till memories fade away And I will leave behind a love so strong
Close my eyes theses voices say Haunting me, I can't escape For you, just you Time will always wait While I throw away what I can't replace
I will run and hide till memories fade away And I will leave behind a love so strong [x2]
I will run and hide! And I will leave behind!
I will run and hide till memories fade away And I will leave behind a love so strong!"
oh, and my meaning is how he is trying to change the way he lives and make it so that when he dies there is a strong memory of him and a strong love of god.
just me though >.
Nope, lyrics are right here. I have the cd, you see... my favorite song on the entire cd.
i fully agree with you cycle.
there seems to be alot of emphasis on god in most people's opinions i think it's much simpler than that it's about a persons self destructive tendencies as they push away a person who loves them so much and they will find no one who will care them about them that much. Yet for some reason they feel they need to leave them maybe for example they feel it's to early in his life or he hasn't experianced enough or maybe your sinning idea was right and he's betrayed her trust and feels that stressing her with the whole i cheated on you thing is worse than running and taking it as his burden as if he doesn't deserve forgiveness.
This is a Christian Band, all their songs are about God in some way or another.....your argument is invalid.

I was thinking maybe that when it says "WHile I throw away, what I can't replace" maybe its talking about the persons life... maybe God's love makes sense too. And "While I ignore what I cant erase" does seem like seem like its talking about a sin or something
We cannot replace time - while for God it stands still, we're just throwing it away. We're wasting precious time by hiding from, and not facing, our challenges, our past, etc.
