No wonder I was confused there were like no lyrics for fun... this listing is wrong, there's supposed to be a period at the end. |

| Passafire – Kilo Lyrics

One of my favorite Passafire tracks. This band needs wayyy more recognition, they're great.
I think it's just about performing at shows..? But I'm not sure what the part with "Oh why, would I deceive you..." means. |

| 311 – Daisy Cutter Lyrics
|
This song is obviously about a girl, and how she drives him crazy. I don't think there's some deep, hidden meaning in this song.
And I have to agree with Zenter (except saying that it's one of the best on the album, because I think it's one of the worst). The whole CD is so sappy; so many songs are about girls. Hardly any of their other songs on their previous albums were about girls, and if they were, it wasn't as obvious as it is on Uplifter. And there's almost nothing to interpret from any of their songs; their lyrics are so simple and not really thought-provoking or anything.

"Room enough to know it's about the critical.
Find it difficult to be so analytical.
I'm filled with hope the rope it won't hang you.
Sit your ass down and come in rangoon."
Most of that part was right, but here's some corrections according to the booklet. |

I'm back with lyrics help, haha. According to the booklet:
"Find it so bizarre"
and
"Orbiting a star." |

| 311 – Never Ending Summer Lyrics
|
The first question mark, I think, is "but it's so bizarre."
Basically about going on tour, all the time, every summer, and all the good times they've had along the way.
This song makes me soo anxious to see them. June 14th, can't wait, haha.
One of my favorites so far off of Uplifter.
And I heard Nick & Chad are working on an intro to their concerts, with "3, 11, 3, 3, 11" from this song and then the "whoas" from Jackpot. |

I tried figuring out what the words are where you put the question marks, but with no luck, haha.
But I think it's "sit your ass down and come in brand new."
And I think this about 311 as a band-- like how lucky they've been, traveling the country while going on tour.. like all the obstacles they've faced, it's amazing how they've come this far.
As much as I hate when people say this, but this song sounds like old-school 311. With SA rapping, especially. Love it.
They better play this song live, it would be awesome. |

| 311 – It's Alright Lyrics
|
I think this song is about living in the moment:
"When your head is off in future time,
that's when things get out of line."
It's saying don't be so concerned about the future, and just live in the present.
And I looove the end of the song: "One song could end a war." Perfect.
And great choice for a second single, unless they decide to change their minds, haha. |

| 311 – Hey You Lyrics

^Come on. Seriously? Then it could also be about puppies.Or cupcakes.
Anyway.. it's obviously about their love for music. They've been making music for over 20 years, so it's definitely been a companion to them. And I agree with MandeeLacka. 311 fixes everything.

| Slightly Stoopid – Mellow Mood Lyrics

Nobody has mentioned this, but I believe this song is based off "Mellow Mood" by Bob Marley. It's not a cover, but the lyrics are similar, and so is the theme of the song. Both songs repeat "darling" a lot (they're both awesome, too).
One of my favorites by Slightly Stoopid. |

| Pepper – Lost In America Lyrics

|
The intro to the song definitely reminds me of Sublime. I think just the style is similar..
And it's pretty much the same topic as "Paddle Out."
Anyway.. this song is about how they're always on tour, away from the home. So it's like they're "lost," because no one knows who they are, they don't know where they're going, etc. |

This song has the same bass line as Pawn Shop.
Anyway.. an awesome, and I guess rare, Sublime song. It's so catchy.
I recommend you watch the video, it's really funny. |

I first heard this on Q101's (Chicago) Crash Test Radio, and loved it. It seems like it's about a failed relationship.
Do you know where I can download/buy this song? |

Love this song. I saw them in Chicago along with the Frantic, and they put on a great show. They even threw their guitars in the air across the stage.
As for the song, I think it's a big "f you" to people that thought they couldn't make it as a band. |

| Ludo – Love Me Dead Lyrics

Another one of my faves on the cd...and the video's amazing, too.
I think it's about a girl that he really wants to like, but she treats him like crap. She basically treats him like he's dead, but he cant stay away. |

I used to always skip over this song when i listened to their cd, but now it's one of my favorites. It seems obviously about a girl that left him, and now he's trying to drink his sadness and feelings for her away. |

I'm sure fueledbyramenaddict is not a pirate. I ordered this CD and the Hush Sound's new cd, and surprisingly received them both in the mail today. I was confused, because patd's cd comes out tuesday.
About the song-- I love the lyrics. I can definitely sense some Beatles' influence in their new songs. |

I first heard this song on Crash Test Radio (new music for a whole hour), and it reminded me of Jack's Mannequin, but then I realized the voice wasn't the same. But I loved it when I heard the chorus. Really good song. |

When I first heard this song, it reminded me of The Hush Sound, with the trumpets and the bouncy music. But that's not a problem. I'm liking it so far, & hopefully they're new cd would be good (I just preordered it for $10!).
PS..someone should fix the name . . . there's no exclamation point anymore. |

This song is so catchy. I first heard it on the local chicago alternative station, and I loved it. I'm seeing them on saturday, ahh.
As for meaning: probably about how the music played on the radio sucks nowadays, so it's killing your ears. |

Haha, I also found it on Guitar Hero. It's such an upbeat song, I like it. I think the meaning is that no matter what stupid stuff his girlfriend does, he still loves her. Wrong, but whatever. |

Everyone in my school is in love with this song. I don't get why. At an assembly, they included the Soulja Boy dance in the skit. This song is pointless, and I don't understand what's so great about it.
My opinion. |
