This ain't about Obama. This song could be about any politician but it's deeper than that. If you remember the song "Reject Yourself" he talks about healing the brokenhearted and he does it again. I think Howard is talking about anybody in a position of power (be it spiritual or otherwise) who promises the world and gives us nothing. |

This is a great song, man. Clearly the second verse is referring to Jesus but I think Howard is saying even if the darkest of times or when hope seems lost think of me(it could be Jesus, somebody you love, even your child or something).
