to me it sounds like he is married or has a girlfriend and keeps dreaming of girl in his dreams to him who is perfect.he then list all the things in his dreams which is there, and the only bad thing there is, is them fighting about the lakers. he then wakes up and realizes that it was only a dream. but also realizes what a great life he has. |

when i first listened to this song i didn't know what he was talking about. then it came to me. i think he is dreaming of becoming a policeman because he has heard of everything they do at parties. then he finally gets to go to one of the parties and after a while he wants to leave. at the end of the song he tells everyone to "be careful what you wish for" meaning anything can come true. |
