it struck me one day what this song is really about. Stella is a sex toy. more specifically, a dildo. this dildo was used by the narrator's girlfriend, but now he's using it on his "man-hole in that bad way" and it was just like her "scuba days" (diving into his girlfriend) the air-tight part should be obvious the second verse describes it well in the bottom of the ocean, in crevices carressed by fingers...etc... thats wat Stella is used to. this was one of the first blur songs i loved. its just so happy-sounding, the drums are awesome, and the guitar work is brilliant. as for the lyrics, i think they're quite good. makes me think of a girl who was only using him for sex and he suddenly realises that becuz "she dont know how to feel" |
