I like this song especially the line, "Yeah this is living but without the will" in the middle of the song. I think that line encompasses the entire feeling of the song, of being numb, walking around without any feelings at all because he just lost someone very important. Sometimes breakups hit people hard, sounds like he hit rock bottom with this one. |

Sometimes one person in a breakup just can't let go. They think of the other person all the time, speak about them, and get that feeling like their chest just dropped into their stomach when they see them in public. He tells all of this in the song, as well as a want and need to start getting over her. I like it even though it is a little sad. |

I had a friend named Pearl who died this year. When I heard this song I had tears, especially the lines... "But I woke up and grew strong And I can still go on And no one can take my pearl" I understand what she's trying to say with the relationship bit, but I guess that's why words are so great. They mean different things to different people. This song makes me remember my friend. The memory of her life lives on. |

I do like this song. He's just trying to tell himself, "Don't fall apart, man! Keep it together over this chick!" The chorus is my fave, and I've even grown to like the parts where he's like "Oooh oooh ooh ooh" between lines. |

Yes, the song is one of the loveliest of the album. I love that he won't go home without her! Rare is the fact that a man will actually feel remorse for ending a relationship. Usually it is the woman that pines and wishes for one more chance. I like the line "The taste of her breath, I'll never get over". I can relate. Isn't it interesting to think of the little tastes and smells you miss once a relationship ends? I know I missed the musky smell of one of my ex boy's cologne for months. |

What a neat way to make something that is told negatively become a comic positive thing.
