| You Me at Six – Fresh Start Fever Lyrics | 12 years ago |

anyone else think "I said you've got a chip on your shoulder It's getting worse now you're older Getting hard now you're sober There's your life, it's fucking over" Could be referencing Finder's Keepers girl? Since it mentions the drinking thing. I'm going to have to think about that some more. |

| The Wonder Years – The Devil in My Bloodstream Lyrics | 12 years ago |

The chorus: Two blackbirds can symbolize a lot of things. I like to think that those two blackbirds symbolize something similar to Blackbird by the Beatles. In this way, they could represent people overcoming difficulties (which could represent his great-grandfather). The fact that they are laughing at him, would further make sense. The birds are basically saying, by laughing, the line about how he claims “I bet I'd be a fucking coward, I bet I'd never have the guts for war”. He sees the blackbirds on the long drive home, which is why it’s 4am. I can’t say I know what he means by “I’m hoping I’m wrong”. I would guess maybe, he hopes he is wrong about having the devil in his bloodstream come for him eventually. His great-grandfather had been in a war and at the funeral they play the war march. Apparently they played it out of time, or he felt like he was out of time and says this in a more metaphorical way, like when someone passes everything feels surreal. The lines “I know how it feels to be, At war with the world, That never loved me” show how he can slightly relate to his great-grandfather because he struggles with depression, even if it is due to a genetic reason and not from facing an actual war. Gotta love how he attaches those two things so nicely. Lastly, the first few lines at the very beginning might be things his great-grandfather used to say, “We wiped out all the buffalo around the turn of the last century…” etc. Older people tell stories a lot and that’s what I imagine inspired that part. |

| Panic! at the Disco – Memories Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
He was the Congregation's vagrant With an unrequited love. When your passion's exultation, Then finding refuge is not enough. She was the youngest of the family And the last to be let go. They decided they would try And make it on their own. The "she" in this part makes me think of Panic's sound on Pretty. Odd. "Youngest of the family" (the last thing they did together) and "the last to be let go" (could refer to how Jon and Ryan were the last to "leave" the band, after Brent) That's how I made sense of the "she". As for the "he" I'm assuming that'd be Ryan. But I don't know what all of that would mean. |

| Bayside – On Love, On Life Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
"We should bite our tongues Cause after all, it's only our lives anyway" One of my favorite parts. Maybe someone tried to tell Anthony to not divorce his wife and bite his tongue. That would make sense. |

| Silverstein – Good Luck With Your Lives Lyrics | 14 years ago |

This song really does seem to be about their old record label. The titles says "liveS" with an "s". It also says "7 years" which would make sense. I'm sure there are other things here as well. |

| Bayside – Sick, Sick, Sick Lyrics | 14 years ago |

I agree with ^. I do think his voice makes sense to not be angry. You have to really hear the words to get it, and I think it was done on purpose. Or maybe it's meant to not sound angry to show how he WAS angry but that now he's over it. I just don't feel Bayside overlooks anything. haha |

| You Me at Six – My Head's A Prison And Nobody Visits Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
This song is awesome. And I agree with the above. "And I know it was wrong to lie, But I need you to keep us alive" makes me think he lied and told her he loved her, hence the "but I need you to keep us alive" bit. |

| Papa Roach – Scars Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| To me this means he's really down because he put sooooo much of his effort and life (weakness) into someone and they didn't even realize they were drowning he tries to help them but they don't understand. He has to care too much or he can't care at all. (I tear my heart open, i sew myself shut.) Once he does really cares about someone they don't respect that, and they suck the life out of him. GOOD CLASSIC SONG. Papa Roach rocks!!!!!!!!!!!! | |
| Sum 41 – Open Your Eyes Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
OK. Ithink I have it the lines behind the main vocals on the paragraph #5 are: Spending days trying to trace it, don't know if I can find a place now. does that make sense. Imean yeah he's lost and can't find a place to go.I don't know. |

| Sum 41 – No Reason Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| jay696, the begining lines (all of us believe that this is not up to you The fact of the matter is That it's up to me), is trying to say that it is not everyone else's job to make a differnece, it is up to you(me).this song is basically screaaming at the world for not doing anything. | |
