I think it's about doing things you don't always want to, to get along in life. It describes a terrible act, we presume that the person has attempted to kill someone? You have to ignore the 'moaning as it tumbles to the ground' to 'save your day', in other words to help yourself. 'You have to do what you must' perhaps to stay alive as hinted at in the last line 'the grave looks cold but we're still young' - a reassurance that it's the right decision. |

is this about getting over a relationship and not being depressed about it? if you 'stay in the shade' you miss out, 'you fade' because no-one sees you anymore as you're too wrapped up in yourself. 'Love moves on, life moves on' is what you often have to remember after a break up. The song seems pretty self-explanatory. |
