| I always thought it was something like "I've got no feelings, I've got my anger hid". | |
| The Features – The Gates of Hell Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think it's pretty much about the guy feeling guilty about what he's about to do with the girl. Maybe he's really iffy about sex? Or maybe he's cheating? Or messing with a girl he knows he shouldn't. | |

It means he can't do what he used to since she sucked the life out of him. It's a good and a bad thing. He's calmed down, or so that's how I take it. |

| I've read that this is earth before Ziggy came. Basiclly, they needed a messiah, somebody to light the way, which ended-up being Ziggy with "Starman". Just like "Soul Love" was supposed to be Ziggy's observation of love. | |

It's about his Mother, and his memory of her. About how he longed for her attention, only to finally get a little and watch her get killed. .....basiclly an acoustic version of "Mother". |

If it's kool, I think the song's real illicit, so I'd like to break down my interpretation. Someone's always coming around here trailing some new kill Says, "I seen your picture on a hundred dollar bill" And what's a game of chance to you, to him is one of real skill ...."new kill", new high, new drug, the whole dollar bill thing, obviously, cause' they're going to buy it. Game of chance...always a chance of overdosing, but what's it to a real addiction? So glad to meet you Angeles Angeles, to me, is the drug, prolly' written about where he scored it and named it from that. Picking up the ticket shows there's money to be made Go on and lose the gamble, that's the history of the trade Ticket, scoring, they're money to be made from addicts. Lose the gamble, overdose and die. You add up all the cards left to play to zero And sign up with evil ....how much did you take? Angeles Don't start me trying now Because I'm all over it Angeles He doesn't want to get into this drug, or else he's afraid he's going to be real into it. I could make you satisfied in everything you do All your "secret wishes" could right now be coming true And be forever with my poison arms around you No one's going to fool around with us No one's going to fool around with us So glad to meet you Angeles The drug telling the addict what they promise. ....at least that's what I see. -James |
