The Gates of Hell Lyrics

Stand in line forever
Give our tickets to the man
Watch him pull the lever
We're riding in a can
Through the gates of hell, girl.
Through the gates of hell, girl
Through the gates of hell, girl
Through the gates of hell.

Satan's in the corner
Hanging by a wire
Started moving closer
As we squeak by wooden fire
Through the gates of hell, girl.
Through the gates of hell, girl
Through the gates of hell, girl
Through the gates of hell.

You may be opposed
But I will be the instigator
Trying hard to steal a kiss
From your lips tonight

Everybody knows where you go for bad behavior
Now I got my arms around you
Heaven is divine

Through the gates of hell, girl
Through the gates of hell, girl
Through the gates of hell, girl
Through the gates of hell.

im not sure of the meaning on this one. damn.

I think it's pretty much about the guy feeling guilty about what he's about to do with the girl. Maybe he's really iffy about sex? Or maybe he's cheating? Or messing with a girl he knows he shouldn't.

I know this is probs a bit late to post my opinion, but I shall anyway :) I think this is about taking a girl out and going to a haunted house at a carnival. Just with the whole standing in line bit and the part about the tickets at the start, I kinda get that he'd waiting to get on the ride. Then, when they're on, there a dummy of the devil and painted pieces of wood to look like fire, the kinda things you get in a haunted house at these places. He's trying to get her to kiss him, and the haunted house is the "traditional" place to do it, cause you're alone and protecting her ect. Just what I think, possible I'm completely off though :D
